Don Lowry created the metaphor, true colors to translate complicated personality and learning theory into practical information we can all understand and use.

True Colors:
1. Four distinctive personality types.
2. None is better than the others.
3. All of us have the four colors represented within ourselves:

a. First color: Innate Color
b. Second color: Learned Colord
c. Third and Fourth colors: underdeveloped colors

True Colors is a simple method for understandiing behavior and what makes people tick.
When our inherent needs are being met, our behavior is postive and contributes to an overall productive work enviroment.
understanding our own colors and the colorsof our colleagues and students can help us make working enviroments better in a variety of ways.
