Transcript of Romeo and Juliet

Act III, Scene II It takes place in Juliets room after romeo got banished for killing tybalt its also her wedding night Juliet shares her feelings with the nurse and says she is crying because romeo is safe She Expresses that she is upset about Tybalts death but seems more concerned about Romeo. She says that Romeos bansihment is worse then ten thousand dead Tybalts and wants to kill herself Metaphor Line 102 "Back foolish tears, back to your
native spring" She compares her tear ducts
to a "native spring" Simile Lines 110-111 "But Oh, it presses to my memory, like damned
guilty deeds to a sinner's minds." Romeo's banishment is what is
making her sad. Personification Lines 113-114 "That one word 'banished' hath
slain ten thousand Tybalts." Romeo's banishment is equivalent to
ten thousand Tybalts dying. Foreshadowing/Foreboding LIne 137 "And death, not Romeo, take my maidenhead!" This is foreboding her death. Irony LIne 100 "But wherefore, villain didst thou
kill my cousin?" She's questioning why Romeo killed Tybalt when we know he killed him because Tybalt killed Mercutio. Juliet is dramatic. "someword there was, worserthan Tybalt's death, that murder'd me" Nurse is comforting, Basically saying she'll do whatever Juliet wants. "will you go to them? I will bring you thither." Much like falling Candle (sick and tired)
