LIGHTS IN THE COPTIC CHURCH OLD TESTAMENT NEW TESTAMENT GOD MOSES GOD TOLD MOSES TO HAVE A GOLDEN LAMP IN THE TABERNACLE (A HOLY PLACE) IN THE BOOK OF ACTS, IT TELLS US THAT WE HAVE TO HAVE LIGHTS OR CANDLES IN OUR CHURCH REPRESENTS THE TWO ANGELS WHO WERE STANDING AT JESUS' TOMB 2 CANDLES ON ALTAR Light is a symbol of glory to our God and Father Jesus Christ The candles mean that the Holy Gospel's light SHINES EVERYWHERE! 2 DEACONS HOLDING CANDLES DURING THE HOLY GOSPEL We light them in front of their pictures because they were the LIGHT OF THE WORLD and we ask for their intercession. Candles in front of Icons (Pictures of Saints) "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path" PSALM 119:105 THIS WEEK'S VERSE:
