The word Synagogue means a Jewish place of worship.
Originated in Greece.
Synagogues have 3 main purposes.
They are:
1. House of meeting
2. House of Prayer
3. House of Studying

The symbol always seen in a Synagogue is the Star of David.
What is a Synagogue?

Why?
Because you face the holy city.

The Menorah is a 7 branched candle stick and are the oldest symbol of the Jewish faith.
The Ark always on the wall facing East to Jerusalem.
A Shabbat is the service, reading and song in a Synagogue.
What Purpose does the Eternal light have?
The Eternal light symbolises God's eternal presence.
