Abraham Lincoln served as sixteenth president from 1861 to 1865 Composed the Gettysburg adress in 1863 was assasinated in Fords theater in 1865 Born in Illinois on feb. 1809 early in his life, he worked as a farmer
in Illinois was not an abolishonist always just wanted to be a lawyer was the first president to be assasinated worked the tiring job of driving a flatboat early in his life fought with Stephen Douglass for Illinois senate eventually recieved the title for Illinois senate Lincoln was tenacious and never gave
up on winning the Civil war, taking
Illinois Senate, and winning the
presedency Lincoln wrote the Emancipation Proclamation on September 22, 1863,
which freed all the slaves if the Union won the war
