Ubicación
La taiga se extiende por el norte, en América del Norte, Europa y Asia.
Biotopo
Clima muy frío y húmedo. Temperatura media de 19ºC en verano y -30ºC en invierno. Inviernos más cortos y fríos, pero más rigurosos que en la tundra. Pocas precipitaciones, temperaturas bajas o medianas durante la mayor parte del año. Abundante humedad.

Biocenosis
Flora: En zonas de clima más duro el bosque es uniforme y puede estar formado solo por una clase de árbol. En zonas de clima suave el bosque es mixto.


Fauna: La vida es dura para los animales en invierno, por lo que las especies migratorias emigran a temperaturas más cálidas.
