STOP MOTION ANIMATION A BRIEF EXPLANATION WHAT IS STOP MOTION ANIMATION? Stop motion animation is the manipulation of inanimate objects to make them appear as if they move on their own on film HOW IS STOP MOTION ANIMATION CREATED? Stop motion animation is created by taking frame by frame photographs of the object moving in small increments THERE ARE THREE METHODS OF STOP MOTION ANIMATION: Direct Object Manipulation ex. the stop motion animation of toys Claymation the method of stop motion that uses clay Pixelation stop motion animation that involves using live talent and shooting them frame by frame HISTORY STOP MOTION ANIMATION established in the late 1890s
