Founded by Jack Crawford Taylor in St. Louis, Missouri
First began as an Executive Leasing Company with only seven vehicles
It was meant to be a long term leasing business
In 1962 the business started what is now one of the nation's top rental car services Our mission is to fulfill the automotive and commercial truck rental, leasing, car sales and related needs of our customers and, in doing so, exceed their expectations for service, quality and value. Enterprise has remained under the control of the Taylor Family.
Pam Nicholson, former CEO, she was named one of the world's most powerful women.
Andy Taylor is now the CEO of the company. Enterprise serves leisure travelers, business travelers, and customers who need a replacement vehicle or a vehicle for a special occasion, such as a weekend getaway. Enterprise currently utilizes a Facebook account to inform their customers of
sales, discounts, career opportunities, and additions to the cars available for use. Enterprise currently has 6,500 fronts
located across the world.
They employ over 57,000 people.
Their fleet includes over 700,000 cars and 135,000 corporate and service vehicles. Publicity For most of the company's duration, Enterprise has relied on publications and billboards to advertise. Only in 2011 did the company begin to use television ads, with their TV campaign"The Enterprise Way." Customer Service Values Enterprise has always prided itself on its focus on quality service. In the last nine years, Enterprise has been named "Highest in Rental Car Customer Satisfaction" eight times. The company created the Enterprise Service Quality index (ESQi) to measure customer satisfaction and ensure great service. HRTM 301: Group 8
