MODALS OF FUTURITY
- used to express a possibility or a conclusion.
Will and Won't
- these are commonly used while talking about the future
Examples:
What
will
happen if I post this?
We
won't
go there tomorrow.
May and Might
- used to express present or future possibility
Examples:
He may/might help you with your problem.
I may/might fetch you later.
Willingness and Unwillingness
Will and Won't
- also used to express willingness and unwillingness in the present form.
Would and Wouldn't (Would not)
- used to express willingness and unwillingness in the past form.
Examples: (PRESENT)
Jaye is a kind person, he
will
help you when you are in need.
He is mad at me, that is why he
won't
pick up the phone.
Examples: (PAST)
Eliot is so lazy, because he
would
dump his clothes anywhere.
My car
wouldn't
start, that is why I am late.
