The opposition believes lecturing in class is the best way to understand referncing to the experience of previous generations.
This is a very important point because understanding the material is the basis of education and success.
I will refute this point based on two studies :

study by MIT professor of media arts and sciences Rosalind Picard and her students in which subjects were fitted with wristbands that measured skin conductance as an index of the ‘arousal associated with emotion, cognition and attention.’

I have a real problem in attending classes and keeping the same level of concentration a "1- hr boring lecture".
I have a previous experience with online courses.Last year I took the "Control System" Course as a "hybrid class" course .I noted a real difference from the traditional lecture class.
WHY?
1. Level of understanding
The opposition believes that attending lectures is the best way to understand and grasb the material .Mainly because of the presence of the doctor explaining the material.
Refutation:

Proving that during lectures students are at a very low level of concentration which contributes negatively to their understanding ability .

In 2014 a research done by Harvard University States that Students attention span in lectures is 10-15 min
What is a Traditional class?
According to Mark Twain
:
" It is the place where professor's lecture notes goes straight to students lecture notes without passing throught the brain of either".
Outcome:
This validates that lecturing is not an effective strategy for teaching :

Following a passive way of teaching, student's brain is not in the mood of paying attention and understanding the content in the class.








2. The Learning outcome:
The opposition believes that following the traditional class strategy can lead to the best learning outcome.ex:high grades, good position after graduating.

How flipping the class can help:
Watching lectures any time at any place.
Class was a workshop.
Introduced to topics beyond the course.
Outcome:
Infact,active learning is much way better than lecture basis learning because:

expected learning outcomes.

Opposition believes that traditional classes are the way to educate several generations because of its availability.Also because they are adapted to such strategy.
