This video says that milk is good for you. Milk a good source of protein to start your day. It also says milk is a good way to start your day because it gives you the protein you need, but not all types of milk have enough protein to start your day.
problem and solution and Cause and effect
this video talks about the problems we have in our environment and how we should help the environment. It also talks about the causes to these disasters and what happens when you don't help the environment.
Sequential and descriptive
The Great Depression (1929-39) was the deepest and longest-lasting economic downturn in the history of the Western industrialized world. In the United States, the Great Depression began soon after the stock market crash of October 1929, which sent Wall Street into a panic and wiped out millions of investors. Over the next several years, consumer spending and investment dropped, causing steep declines in industrial output and rising levels of unemployment as failing companies laid off workers. By 1933, when the Great Depression reached its nadir, some 13 to 15 million Americans were unemployed and nearly half of the country's banks had failed. Though the relief and reform measures put into place by President Franklin D. Roosevelt helped lessen the worst effects of the Great Depression in the 1930s, the economy would not fully turn around until after 1939, when World War II kicked American industry into high gear.
This piece of speech is both descriptive and sequential. It describes what happened during this time and it lists the dates in order.
Compare and contrast
This commercial tells you the difference between a Windows Tablet and a iPad.
In this video, Obama uses this ad to persuade why people should vote for him in the 2012 election. He exaggerates when he says the only way to bring the economy down is to strengthen the middle class . He also states that Governor Romney wants to cut down taxes for the rich.

There are different types of text structures and fallacies. We us many of the text structures and fallacies everyday in a lot of things such as advertisements, speeches videos and we even use them in words. Remember we are always using them even when we don't notice it!
Tone, is the way atmosphere is set in a story or text. Tone helps set the mood for the reader or the audience, and it can grab their attention and make them want to read more. Tone creates different emotions for readers based on the way the author writes it. Tone is used for all authors purposes, tone can influence the readers by persuading, informing, or entertaining.
I agree that the information is true for the milk commercial because milk is a good source of protein to start your day. I agree with the environmental video because people do many things that hurt the earth, and we need to take good care of it. I agree with the Windows Tablet and the iPad because the windows tablet allows you to do many things at the same time. I disagree with the Obama campaign because I believe that strengthening the middle class is not the only way to improve the economy; also taxing the rich more will make it harder for them to create more jobs and pay their employees. I agree with the Great Depression text because i know that the Great Depression happened during the 1930s, and it was before World War two. I agree that the Ad hominem video is true because it shows how two news people are name calling or attacking someone.
