Transcript of The Five Themes of Geography

The Five Themes of Geography Location Place Movement Human Environment Interaction Region Ideas move through the media like in my favorite TV shows and the news. People move by transportation like when I take the school bus or ride in a car. Humans can adapt to the environment. Like if I wear a heavy winter coat when it's snowing outside. The environment can be changed by humans . Humans can depend on the environment like I depend on trees for shade and oxygen. A relative location is an estimate of a where something is. My house is close to Rupp Arena. A cultural region is a place such as Isreal where most people are Jewish. An example of a political region is Kentucky, U.S.A. A physical region is weather that is wet and cold. An example of an absolute location is Grayson County High School is located at 340 Schoolhouse Rd. Leitchfield, KY 42754 A physical place is a landform like the Easter Island heads which are my favorite landform. A human place is an activity like football that is played on a field.
