3: Our trading relationship supports millions of jobs.
4: It is easier to trade with the U.S.A. because we are in close proximity to each other. Partnership is key... Our relationship with the U.S.A. is extremely benifical to Canada. It brings us jobs, Exports and Goods and services that we purchase in high volumes but at low cost from the U.S.A. As well, we benefit from being friends with the most powerful military country in the world! Some of the major agricultural products are: corn, cattle meat, cow's milk, chicken meat, soybean, pig meat, wheat, cotton lint, eggs, turkey meat, tomatoes, potatoes, grapes, oranges, rice, apples, sorghum, lettuce, cotton seed, tobaco and sugar beets. Industry The industryal heartland of the United States is the east-north-central region; ohio, indiana, illinois, michigan and wiscotsin. The leading idustries are in steel making and automobile manafruacturing. Massachusetts has become the lead in high-technology idustries such electronics and information processing. Large corporations such as steel, automobiles, pharmaceuticals, aircrafts, petroluem, refinings, computers, soap and detergents, tires and communication equipment have a huge growth in the US idustry.
