Transcript of Friars Application

TIAN wants to be a... Who IS that? 1. She's just a small-town girl... from rural MO 2. She's a little strange.
(Just ask Melissa. Or Zack.) 3. She LOVES FOOD. Speaking of food... Friars are absolutely delicious Let's break down the ingredients... But what goes into a Friar the Friar-Filled Welcome to my
Kitchen! INGREDIENTS: THE CAKE BATTER Cupcake BUT Aren't Friars
also FUN?! THE APPLE FILLING 7 tablespoons butter for those smooth talkin' types
¾ cup brown sugar for those that are quirky
5 apples - I know you already have one (Hi Leah!) but four more can't hurt!
2 teaspoons cinnamon for the enjoyably sassy
2 tbsp of cornstarch for the strong & silent type RUM BUTTERCREAM ICING With ingredients like that,
who wouldn't want
to be a Friar? FLOUR as the Friar's foundation, serving Penn's community in a noticable way
BAKING SODA & BAKING POWDER as the chemistry between Friars
And like an EGG makes the batter rise, Friars rise as leaders on campus POP it in the oven... And what we see
is that (Think: Martha Stewart) 1/2 a cup of butter
1/2 pound of powdered sugar
and 2 Table Spoons of Dark Rum, because, you know,
Friars also like to have fun.

And while every ingredient is important, what makes Friars scrumptious is their ability to bring together disparate parts into one big, tasty treat. What I loved learning at the Smoker is that each Friar is such a character. It's these DELICIOUS INSIDES that makes Friars so unique.
