Theological Characteristics God is... Infinite
Divine love
Infinite Mind
LOVE "There is no life, truth, intelligence, or substance in matter.
All is Infinite Mind and its infinite manifestation, for God is All in all." Man is not material but spiritial! No reality to the physical world
bad things are "illusions of the Mortal Mind"
similar to Hindu Pantheism (God=the universe)
God is an impersonal force
don't use "material medicine" Strong emphasis on the commandments
Believe that God is "knowable"
Put God on a Human level.

Jesus was a prophet
No atonement
He never died on the cross
Salvation comes in the future Christian Application

They should be practiced everywhere
Biblical healing should still be practiced today
During her life Mary was very sick and unhealthy

She took to the healing practices of Phineas P. Quimby practiced mental suggestion and hypnosis

This idea of healing in God really took off when she became "Spiritually healed" when reading part of the Bible where Jesus healed someone

Mary then continued to research and practice this spiritual healing that later turned into her book and later the mother church

It is said that Mary Eddy also plagiarized many of her ideas and beliefs

Followers state that Mary experimented in other healing methods such as homeopathy and hydropathy.
