Songs that relate to "The 3 songs in John Steinbecks novel The Pearl"
by Angel Diaz, 10/10/13, p.2

Song of the Family
The Song "Droopy likes your face and Droopy likes ricochet" by C148 is a good example for the song of the family. Though the song has no lyrics, the song is very peaceful and full of happiness. The song of the family is a peaceful song in kino's ears. So is this song to a persons ears.
Song of the Evil
The song "Another bites the dust" by Queen is a good example of the song of the evil because one of the lyrics,"Ain't no sound but the sound of his feet, machine guns ready to go Are you ready, Are you ready for this Are you hanging on the edge of your seat Out of the doorway the bullets rip to the sound of the beat" This part signifies the death of his first son.
My Song
My song would be Not Afraid by Eminem. I'm usually not afraid to say what i think and release my true emotions. If I think something is wrong I'm usually one to speak my mind. If I see someone hurt or are crying I usually go to help them even if I don't know them personally. When I see a fight I will try to stop them.
Song of the Pearl
The song "Money" by I Fight Dragons is a good example because one of the lyrics are "Cause when pushin' comes to shove Money conquers faith and love You can buy 'em up for nothing down." The part which says that money conquers faith and love really showed it in Kino. Once he found the pearl greedyness took over his body and all he wanted was more.
