Transcript of Surviving the Applewhites

This is mainly about two kids whose names are E.d. Applewhite and Jake Semple.
E.d. is a very smart girl and Jake is a 13 year old juvnile delinquent who is known to be the baddest boy in town. Everyone in the town is afraid of him except for one person and that one person is E.d. She thinks that he is just a big loser and doesn't even pay attention to him until one day he's send to go to their house for homeschooling because he burned own his old school and there weren't anymore foster families that he could go to so he was stuck with the Applewhite's family and children then they have to learn how to get along with each other even if they don't want to.
Narrator
The narrator of the book is E.d. She is telling the story in first person point of view. The point of view and the narrator stay the same throughout the whole book it is not limited and you can easily predict what is going to happen next.

The problem is not believable its about Jake Semple a kid who gets kicked out of all the schools in his home state (Rhode Island). So he had to move to Traybride North Carolina, but a rumor has started that he has just burned down his old school. So he is sent to live with the Applewhites an artist family that home schools their kids. After living there for a while this family changes the way that Jake looks at the world.

Theme
The theme of the book is that the Applewhites and Jake have to learn how to work together and get along well. They also had to make the most of each others strengths and recognize their weaknesses they all had to learn to work together whether they liked it or not, and the Applewhites had to give Jake a chance. The overall messages of this book are acceptance, teamwork, and community
Plot

Setting
This story takes place a couple of weeks into September in Traybridge, North Carolina. A fictional place used in this story.
Overall Thoughts
I would give this book four stars because I thought that it was a good book overall. It kept me interested the whole time that I was reading it and I really liked it. I've read better books in the past, but this one is also a great book. I would recommend it to anyone.
