DEFINISI
Himpunan titik titik pada suatu bidang datar yang memiliki jarak yang sama terhadap titik fokus dan garis direktrisnya
Persamaan Parabola yang memiliki puncak di titik (a,b) terbuka keatas dan kebawah
(y-b)^2=+-4p(x-a)
Persamaan Parabola yang memiliki puncak di (a,b) terbuka ke kanan dan ke kiri
(x-b)^2=+-4p(x-a)
Latihan
Tentukan persamaan parabola yang memiliki titik puncak (3,2) dan titik fokusnya (5,2)
Tentukan koordinat titik puncak , titik fokus,dan persamaan direktriks parabola yang persamaannya adalah
y^2-6x+8y+4=0
Tentukan persamaan parabola yang mempunyai direktriks garis y=1 dan mempunyai fokus F(-3,7)
Keterangan :
K : Sumbu Simetris

P : Puncak
