Early Life
Aretha Franklin was born on March 25, 1942 in Memphis,Tennessee.
Her parents were C.L. Franklin and Barbara Siggers Franklin.
She began her singing career singing gospel music at her father's church as a child.
At the age of 18 Aretha embarked on a spectacular career recording for Columbia Records.
Aretha eventually recorded a total of 88 charted singles on billboard, including 77 hot 100 entries and twenty number 1 R&B singles.
After her father was shot in 1979 , Franklin left Atlantic records and signed with Arista Records .
Aretha eventually became known as the Queen Of Soul.
Success
After her mother's death Aretha began singing solos at New Bethel .
At the age of 14 Aretha's father began managing her.
Aretha's father helped her sign to her first record company with J.V.B Records.

On January 28,1955 Clarance Franklin was born , he was Aretha's first son.Her second son was Edward Franklin.

Her third was Ted White Franklin and fourth was Kecalf Franklin.
