Assessment of language skills
Each line in the chart represents an area of literature studies (from top to bottom):
interpretation skills
creativity and versatility
organising ideas and thoughts
interaction and processing tasks
The teacher ticks an appropriate box on a three-step scale

does not meet standards, meets standards, exceeds standards
).

Assessment of literature studies
There are two options in assessing a student’s response to literature studies.
A teacher can choose from either Appendix A (a dropdown menu) or Appendix B (in a chart form, to be ticked).

In order to select the appropriate assessment on a three-step scale (does not meet standards, meets standards, exceeds standards), click on ‘Choose.’
The skills (both written and oral) referred to by the term literature studies include:

Interpreting texts
(coherence in the reading process, analysis, inference, synthesis)

Creativity and versatility


Organising ideas and thoughts
(linking ideas and concepts together, forming cohesion)

Interacting skills
(process evaluation, commitment to the task(s) at hand; public speaking such as presentations, speeches, debate skills, drama, etc.)

After selecting the appropriate assessment, the teacher types the place and date and his/her name by clicking the text ‘
