windmills for mechanical power
wind pumps for pumping water or drainage
sails to propel ships Large-scale wind farms are connected to the electric power transmission network; smaller facilities are used to provide electricity to isolated locations A wind farm is a group of wind turbines in the same location used for production of electric power. Offshore wind mills The biggest offshore wind farm is going to be made off the coast of........... Oregon!!!!!! part of the reason this farm has not already been made is because the united states army went to the state and complained that the offshore wind mills would interfere with their radars.
