The Construct ion of Tuguegarao City – By-Pass Road

involves widening the of existing PCCP on both sides, including construction of drainage, curb, gutter and sidewalk along the mainline.
The newly constructed road will serve as an alternate route for commuters plying the north-south and the east-west lateral roads of Tuguegarao City especially those from the southeastern towns of Cagayan Province and Kalinga (Tabuk).
The project when completed shall reduce significantly the traffic congestion and constriction in the city. It will also facilitate coordination and linkage among national government agencies including the provincial government Of Cagayan and city government of Tuguegarao.

II. PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This project involves the construction of Bituminous Concrete Surface Course over a length of 23,600 lin.m. It also includes the removal and replacement of damaged PCC blocks and improvement of the carriageway.


III. PROJECT IMPACT
This road surface treatment will extend the service life of the carriageway specifically at section K0488+000 to K0511+600 of Cagayan Valley Road.

Project Impact:
The concreting of the Access Road opens a great opportunities for traversed barangays for development. This road links the municipalities of Aparri and Buguey both in the Province of Cagayan. Buguey being the “Seafood Bowl” of Cagayan has a great cut on travelling time and cost to businessman selling their produce to Aparri which is the business center of Northeastern of Cagayan.
Students coming from the far flung barangays and studying in various colleges and universities at Aparri are also benefited. Their travel time and cost will be reduced for more than 60% from their usual daily expenses.
The development of this road surely attracts tourist to the different tourist destination in the area which surely brings employment in the countryside.

The road links the province of Quirino to the province of Aurora. When completed, it will facilitate transport of basic goods to the areas, and improve the socio-economic activities and tourism industry.

Dupax del Norte and Kasibu Sections in Nueva
Vizcaya has a total length of 8.508 km with an
allocation of Php 195,923,000.00. The scope of
work involves concrete paving, bank protection
works (stone masonry) with line canal and widening
of roadway (cutting of side slopes in mountain
areas).
This road section connects Region II provinces
Nueva Vizcaya and Quirino to Region III
particularly the province of Aurora. The project
will provide fast, smooth and convenient travel
and facilitate transport of goods and products
to the influence area that will bring about socioeconomic
development of the region.
