Why are birth control pills improtant in the history of medicine?
It is one of the easiest ways not get pregnant and it has a lower risk of pregnancy.

Why is penicillin important in the history of medicine?
Penicillin can be considered to be one of the most important inventions in the history of medicine, because the drug was developed fast and the US government prevented many soldiers wounds become infected which meant that penicillin saved a lot of lives.
Discoveries in the 20th Century
Penicillin was one of the many discoveries that were discovered in the 20th Century. Alexander Fleming, a british scientist, discovered it in 1928. Penicillin is a powerful drug that is used to treat infections caused by bacteria. Penicillin's kill bacteria by preventing the formation of the stiff cell walls. It was also the first antibiotic.

Gregory Goodwin invented the birth control in 1952, but it wasn't approved until 1960. Birth control pills is one method to regulate or prevent pregnancy. The risk of pregangncy is much less for women who te takhe pill correcltly everyday at about the same time, but out of 100 women who take the pill at least 5 women are likely to get pregnant.
