The founder of New York
*The founder of New York was Henry Hudson.
*Henry was a English explorer in the 17th century.
*Hudson made two attempts of English to find Northeast Passage (today's china)
*Hudson explored the metropolitan area of New York, while he was still looking a route for Asia.

*In 1609, the Hudson River was explored by Henry Hudson
*Samuel de Chaplain explores the New York area
*In 1614, Fort Nassua was built.
*The English got control of the New York
*Between 1892 and 1954, the immigrants arrived in New York Harbor and passed through Ellis Island on their journey to becoming U.s citizens
The type of people living in New York
*The first native New Yorkers were the Lenape , and the Algonquin people.
*They were farmers and people who fished in the area between Delaware and Hudson River.

Types of religion
*New York wasn't really dominated by any religion which gave freedom to Quakers, Catholics, Lutherans, Jews, and other...
*But the religion with the most people was Jews and Catholic.
