Setting SMART Goals
Let's start this year off on the right foot and reach the summit together!
Stick with it to make it to the top!
Set reminders to review your process.
Revise and necessary.
Reflect on the effort you have put into your goal.
Why set goals?
Write down your goals.
Use words such as "I will..." instead of "I would like to..."
Make and action plan: write out specific steps you will take to achieve your goal.
"Don't ever look back and regret not doing your best. There are no second chances. When you're 25 and you wish you would have done something in high school, it's too late. Don't cheat yourself, don't cheat your teammates, work as hard as you possibly can, lay it all on the line and whatever happens happens. But you won't look back in regret."
How to be sure you stay on path:
Set three SMART goals for yourself one for each of these areas of your life:
Health (Nutrition,Fitness, Sports)
Personal (At home, Social, Family, Religious...
School (grades, attendance, attitude......)
Next, be sure they are SMART goals.
Write your goals down on the paper I have passed out.
Write 3 steps you will take to attain each goal.
Give an estimated date to complete each step.
Next up.....creating a presentation to share your goals.
