Hello class.

Today we're going to be speaking about Zakia says the little man with big faith

and at the end we're going to have a review question time

and just so just make sure your listening ears turned on,

they have your volume turned all the way up on your

laptop so you can make sure you hear everything I say.

So you can get every answer right at the end. Okay,

So today, like I said, we're, we're talking about a man named Zach kiss.

And psyches was referred to as a little man with big faith.

Now, what do you think this means? What do you think it means to be a little man?

Big Faith.

So

we'll get right into it.

But first I'm going to introduce that key is he was a tax collector.

Can you maybe tell you what a tax collector was?

Their mom or dies around? Um, tell them what you think it is. And then

let them tell you if it's correct or not.

The tax collector was someone who went around

um collecting money from people.

But the way that psyches did it,

he would tell him that he needed more than what he actually did

and he would take that money and he would pocket the money. That was not his.

So psyches was not a really, really good guy at the beginning.

So that's what he used to do.

He was a tax collector that would collect a man that was not his.

So

We'll get right into it and we'll introduce what the story is.

So I'll be in Luke 19

and

we're sending it in a period of time where jesus was traveling through Jericho

and during this time there was all these shoes

that were around because they heard that jesus was coming

and one man heard that jesus coming and he was kind of interested,

do you think that man was Zakia Zaki is the tax collector,

heard that jesus was coming and he wanted to see jesus

and

juice

sake is was this rich man?

And he was like, you know, I'm kind of interested

and all the people are like why are you interested?

Like you're a bad rich man, we don't want to the rest,

you're too little and he was just so he was bullied, he was,

he was not very welcome there because everybody knew the things

he had done and they didn't want him around during that.

So the key is the rich man of course was a very, very tiny man. He was so short.

Have you ever felt just so short in your life?

Maybe you couldn't reach the top the top bunk

or you couldn't read something off the shelf,

there were just too high for you, I know that sometimes

I'm kind of tall, but I'm not really tall,

so sometimes I feel that way like I can't reach something

so I just feel really tiny or maybe someone has

bullied you and they've made you feel so tiny,

you know, they just kind of hurt your feelings and you feel kind of love, right?

So he was so kind that just couldn't see him in the crowd

and Zacharias was very determined to see jesus, so

he humbled himself

and he climbed to have this huge, huge tree

and this tree was called a Sycamore tree, remember that?

It was called a Sycamore tree

and nobody would help him see jesus, so he took it upon himself,

he was like you know what I want to see, jesus, so I'm going to see him.

So he climbed up this big sickle mercury,

remember he was rich, right?

So in our day and time bridge people wear like suits, you know, fancy suits,

they probably have a fancy pants,

probably some really expensive shoes right back in that day, they wore robes,

so it's like he has probably had on like a really fancy robe and he had like you know,

change or something that really

really pretty headband,

so he probably handle this on right?

And he was like, you know, despite what I have on,

I'm gonna climb up this tree because I want to see jesus right?

And he had this big desire to see jesus, so he said I'm gonna come to the tree.

Well when he got up there, jesus saw him

and I read to you in the bible what it says

and when jesus came into place, he lived up and saw him and said unto him,

Zaki's make haste and come down

for today, I must abide in my house.

So Jesus looked up and he saw that Kia's was unsafe in that

tree and he didn't mind as a key is so small that mattered,

none at all to jesus.

Of course he left him the way he was

when he saw him and he was like come down here, I want to come to your house,

I want to spend some time with you at your home,

it's like he just was so like whoa like jesus,

why do you want to catch some time with me?

You know have like how do you think you would feel

that?

I know for me personally I'm gonna be so nervous, how jesus,

why do you want to come to my house?

You know

like why am I so special and all the people around him thought the same thing,

they were like, you know why does she just want to go to his house?

Like why does he not want to come to my

house and I'm not more important than this tiny man,

you know, like why does he care about this tiny man?

But

was super excited and everyone else is super amazed, you know,

it was like he told jesus that half of what he had because he was a rich man,

he wanted to give all that, he had to the poor, so he was like jesus,

since you're gonna come to my house, I want to give everything I had to the poor.

And jesus was like, you know, that's that's not what, that's not what matters here

is that he is. Jesus says to him

this day of salvation, come to this house for so much as he is also a son of Abraham,

for the son of man has come to seek and to save that, which is lost.

So Jesus said, I'm not coming to your house so I can take

all of the rich things that you have, I want to come to your house so you can be saved

and so I can show you the love of God, You know,

that's what was most important to jesus when seeing Ck's because he was a

rich man and he didn't know Jesus, but Jesus didn't care how small he was,

didn't care all the bad things he did in the past,

Jesus wanted to see him get saved because it

doesn't matter what you've done in the past.

You know, I know you have a lot of you are very young,

so maybe you've not done a lot just yet, Maybe you've not went through a lot just yet,

but there are things that are going to happen and they're

gonna things that maybe you just fall into temptation or something,

but God wants you to know that none of that matters to him, you know,

as long as he's forgiving you of it, he's forgotten it.

And so you can still be saved, no matter what bad men, you know,

bad men and women in the world that do bad things,

they can still be saved no matter what, because jesus

has an open arm and a heart for everyone, right?

So Jesus said, you know, I just want your heart like yes,

and then that days like you's got saved and accepted jesus into his heart.

Now there are a couple of things that we can draw from this story.

Zacky is that we applied our own lives.

Number one being, we should not make fun of people especially for something,

they cannot change like their size.

Like the you know the story is that he is no matter

what someone looks like or how they talk or what they've done,

you know we shouldn't make fun of them because that's how God created them, right?

Number two, we can be humble like Zacarias,

he was rich and he had on fancy clothes yet he said I want to

see jesus so he humbled himself and he climbed up that big tree to see jesus

and the third goes right along with this one,

we could ask jesus to give a desire to see him in our lives.

I mean just kind of think for a second ponder about yourself and think

do I have the desire to see jesus work in my life, like psyches did

that, I would climb up this big tree no matter what I have on,

no matter what

to see, jesus do something in my life, just like, like yesterday,

number four we can be generous, you know,

Zakia said he was going to give the money to the poor,

you know when you have something extra lee maybe you can give

to someone if you see that a friend is in need,

they need help with something, you can always give and be nice, you know,

be generous.

Think of others, be the Lord says be kind one to another

and then the last one we can be a friend to everyone,

just like jesus was a key is even if everyone else thinks they're weird.

So say you have a friend at lunch that maybe isn't sitting with someone

and you want to be nice and invite them to sit with you or

you want to be nice and invite them to play

on the playground or invite them to your house,

have a little play, um play day or a sleepover or something like that, you know,

just be nice to everyone.

And jesus says like once again be kind one to another, we want to share the gospel.

That's how you can share the gospel to is being kind to everyone around you.

So

we don't have any questions and make sure you have a
