  1. Hey friends. Welcome to mega Monday.
  2. I'm your host,
  3. Nick Petero and today we're doing recap video of
  4. the update that was rolled out last week,
  5. the March 2022 update.
  6. Now,
  7. this includes features that are brand new as well as some
  8. things that were improvements upon existing features inside the system.
  9. As a quick reminder, this is your first time tuning in every
  10. 2nd Tuesday of the month. Mann Cup rolls out new features and functions at midnight.
  11. All right.
  12. So that means well, I guess technically at, you know, 1159,
  13. so those are available to you on Wednesday morning um, the following day.
  14. So when you log in your system following that second Tuesday of the month,
  15. you'll have access to those new features and functions.
  16. We always do a webinar as well.
  17. So make sure you tune into that webinar if you want to
  18. catch the full overview on the day that these are released.
  19. Otherwise tune in on monday morning when we do a quick recap.
  20. Okay, so I'm not going to show any of the functionality here.
  21. I'm actually just gonna run through the new improvements,
  22. Talk a little bit about them.
  23. So that way you can read about them in the release notes if they're applicable to you.
  24. So the first thing that we did is we built in integration with Broad Street.
  25. Now,
  26. this has been on the docket for a little while.
  27. We have lots of shared customers,
  28. uh folks that are using Broad street that
  29. are also using makeup for their ad operations.
  30. Broad street is an ad server. So some of you that are familiar with google ad manager
  31. delivering adds to your website through a variety of different formats channels,
  32. selling tactics, etcetera.
  33. But this is a, is a new integration here.
  34. Broad Street, they're a great group to work with.
  35. If you need an introduction to them over there,
  36. feel free to let us know um happen to make that for you.
  37. The reason that folks like Broad Street is that it's
  38. a little bit easier to use than google adventure.
  39. Alright, so google ad manager is pretty sophisticated. Broad Street.
  40. It's clean, straightforward. It's easy to use for small companies. Okay.
  41. The second thing that we did is we added a daily system email summary.
  42. Now this is going to summarize the email activity from the previous day.
  43. So it's going to come to you in the morning In an email format and say, Hey,
  44. this is the email activity that occurred over the last 24 hours.
  45. This person opened your email, this person clicked on your email. Okay.
  46. That's basically what this is.
  47. So that you don't have to go to that notifications tab or
  48. go looking through all of the emails that you sent to people.
  49. It just gives you a nice clean summary in
  50. the morning of who opened your emails yesterday.
  51. The third thing that we added
  52. is an improvement to an already existing integration
  53. with accelerant accelerant is a programmatic provider.
  54. They offer tons of different services. White labeled services.
  55. You can even sell S ceo management too.
  56. The customer that you work with white label it and
  57. add seller will do all the work for you.
  58. Pretty cool group. If you haven't talked to them, you definitely should.
  59. Um This is a great way to increase your product catalog
  60. and kind of increase your footprint within your current advertisers.
  61. If you're not doing programmatic already.
  62. We added a functionality here for mapping of the products.
  63. Previously you had to manually go in and select each individual product,
  64. map it over to their system.
  65. But now there's a system configuration that maps the
  66. products from accelerant to product inside your backup site.
  67. This allows you to,
  68. this allows the salesperson not really know uh they don't
  69. really need to know how the products are mapped.
  70. They just need to be able to sell them um
  71. create the order for them and then they passed directly into it
  72. and selling it automatically. Okay um and and back to Monica of course for invoicing
  73. the management fees as well. Are now supported with this integration.
  74. Okay. The next update is two proposals.
  75. So the proposal templates proposal widget proposal functionality
  76. in terms of understanding what proposals are outstanding.
  77. Need to be signed by customers uh notifications.
  78. Kind of wholesale update to the proposal module. Now
  79. more will be coming to this in the next couple of months.
  80. But this was our first go at updating these proposals to make them a little bit more
  81. user friendly so that if you wanted to create
  82. more integrated of rappers for your insertion orders.
  83. Your orders inside the system proposals are a great great way to do that.
  84. If you haven't checked out the proposal module,
  85. highly recommend you do so with the template function.
  86. It should make it a little bit easier for
  87. you guys to create those and get them started.
  88. All right.
  89. And then the last thing which is probably
  90. my favorite update here is actually the ability
  91. to capture a credit card payment or a
  92. credit card method when getting an order approved.
  93. So now this is an optional setting.
  94. There are a few triggers here,
  95. a few different layers in terms of when this would be populating to a customer.
  96. But the idea is that
  97. I created an insertion order.
  98. I sent it to an advertiser.
  99. There isn't anything on that contract that requires them to pre
  100. pay but I want to capture a credit card for them.
  101. So when I do go and create an invoice down the line,
  102. I already have a payment method on file for them.
  103. I can charge the card and we're good to go.
  104. So I have to go later and ask them to pay for it and ask them to send a check.
  105. I already have that credit card on file now
  106. at a basic level this is a configuration setting that
  107. allows you to turn this on or turn it off.
  108. If it's enabled.
  109. the user can still check know that they don't want to put in a payment method.
  110. So this is optional. Right? But we do present them with the form.
  111. Make it look like they need to put it in to move forward
  112. even though they can select out of that if they want to.
  113. There are a few caveats here. So this can be set at an additional,
  114. this can be set at a publication level
  115. which would override if this is not set on a global level.
  116. And this is also, this also can be set at a company level.
  117. So if you want certain customers to always be presented with this form or let's
  118. say you want to make sure certain customers never get presented with this form.
  119. Right. So that's set at a company level um as well as a publication level or
  120. Located everybody that signs a contract gets this uh, this pop up.
  121. And so that was the March 2020 update. Really, those items are related to sales.
  122. There are a handful of other improvements specifically to
  123. a few reports that might be applicable to sales.
  124. People that I highly recommend you go and take a look at the release notes,
  125. for I'm not going to cover those in the video but the
  126. release notes are really good comprehensive view into everything that changed.
  127. So be sure to check those out
  128. and with that.
  129. So I got for you this week.
  130. Talk to you See you next monday.
