00:00 - 00:00
this year.
00:01 - 00:03
Hello, my name is Kimberly Hilton.
00:04 - 00:07
Today I'll be talking with you about a topic that
00:07 - 00:09
is pretty difficult to talk about.
00:10 - 00:10
Very well known.
00:12 - 00:16
It is different in every situation being pro choice.
00:18 - 00:22
We're being pro life on either way that you stand
00:23 - 00:23
on this topic.
00:23 - 00:25
Does either one make you pro abortion?
00:27 - 00:27
That's my question.
00:28 - 00:33
Today we'll be going over what abortion affects benefits of
00:34 - 00:34
being pro choice.
00:35 - 00:37
What's important to being pro choice?
00:39 - 00:43
Reasons why it's honestly nobody's business longevity of being pro
00:44 - 00:53
choice, defying pro choice and pro abortion to find pro
00:53 - 00:55
choice versus being pro abortion.
00:57 - 01:01
Personally, I've always heard pro choices you have the choice
01:01 - 01:01
to make for yourself.
01:03 - 01:06
Pro life only believes in no matter.
01:06 - 01:10
Whatever the circumstance, the person should have the child, no
01:10 - 01:11
matter what.
01:11 - 01:12
That's very cut and dry.
01:12 - 01:13
In my opinion.
01:14 - 01:14
Pro abortion.
01:15 - 01:16
Hey, crazy weekend.
01:17 - 01:17
You know something happened.
01:18 - 01:20
I think I'll just go take care of it.
01:21 - 01:22
Is that responsible?
01:22 - 01:23
Is that morally, ethically correct?
01:24 - 01:25
I personally disagree.
01:27 - 01:28
Let's go into what's the difference?
01:31 - 01:38
Who abortion effects, Who does abortion directly affect the mother?
01:39 - 01:39
Of course.
01:40 - 01:45
The father, of course, directly involved family members.
01:46 - 01:50
Absolutely but the governor of your state, your next door
01:51 - 01:52
neighbor or even a friend.
01:54 - 01:55
Does it directly affect that person?
01:57 - 02:02
No. I firmly believe it does not affect anyone other
02:02 - 02:04
than the core group.
02:04 - 02:09
The mother, the father, direct family members outside of that,
02:09 - 02:11
What is it doing to anyone else?
02:12 - 02:20
Really? Ask yourself, moving on to the benefits of being
02:20 - 02:21
pro choice.
02:22 - 02:25
The benefits of being pro choice allows an individual to
02:25 - 02:29
make decisions based off of their own personal situation, not
02:30 - 02:32
on what somebody else is pushing on them That should
02:33 - 02:35
be, or how it makes sense to somebody else.
02:35 - 02:37
We don't know another person's situation.
02:38 - 02:39
We don't know if it was a traumatic situation.
02:40 - 02:44
If they aren't mentally stable, if they something they might
02:44 - 02:46
not have expressed to anybody else in the world, only
02:46 - 02:50
they themselves know if it's the right time with the
02:50 - 02:52
right situation for them to bring another life into this
02:53 - 02:55
world. I couldn't even put myself in that position.
02:56 - 03:00
If something traumatic happened to me to be able to
03:00 - 03:05
raise a child with that type of connection, it doesn't
03:05 - 03:09
even seem physically possible to be a healthy situation for
03:09 - 03:12
myself or my child, that had been unborn.
03:13 - 03:17
It's beyond me that we allow another person that's never
03:17 - 03:20
been in my shoes to govern what's best for me.
03:21 - 03:22
Don't you agree?
03:23 - 03:25
Yeah. Mm.
03:28 - 03:29
Why? Approach choice is important.
03:31 - 03:33
I'm going to just touch on the mental aspect of
03:33 - 03:35
this I spoke about.
03:36 - 03:38
If a traumatic experience that happened, how would that person
03:39 - 03:41
react? How would I be as a mother if I
03:41 - 03:44
had been raped in, I was forced to give birth
03:44 - 03:47
to a life that I never planned on having a
03:48 - 03:52
situation. I never put myself in, um, that I couldn't
03:52 - 03:56
even fathom, let alone be a governor or a Senate
03:56 - 04:01
person or House of Representatives making these choices as if
04:01 - 04:04
they can't remove themselves from their own situation to realize
04:05 - 04:08
that not every situation is crystal perfect where we signed
04:08 - 04:11
up for it, or if that's what's meant to be.
04:12 - 04:14
I mean, was that meant to be Was I meant
04:14 - 04:17
to be raped, to have a baby, to have choices
04:18 - 04:21
made for me again and again, from the rape to
04:21 - 04:25
the pregnancy to being forced to give birth to a
04:25 - 04:28
life that, in my opinion, wasn't meant to be.
04:30 - 04:32
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
04:33 - 04:37
this ties us into reasons why it's no one's business
04:37 - 04:39
but your own, um, al.
04:40 - 04:41
Again, this isn't even a personal story.
04:42 - 04:44
It's just something I feel so passionate about.
04:44 - 04:49
Um, it it's something that just makes sense, you know,
04:50 - 04:54
reasons why it's no one's business because again doesn't affect
04:54 - 04:56
anyone outside of the mother, the father, the immediate family.
04:57 - 04:59
And at the end of the day, the immediate family
05:00 - 05:03
isn't directly affected if they're not having a financial burden,
05:03 - 05:06
if they're not having to support you mentally or emotionally,
05:07 - 05:07
which they should.
05:08 - 05:11
But if it's not being asked of them, are called
05:11 - 05:11
upon them.
05:12 - 05:13
Who does it affect?
05:13 - 05:15
Let's ask ourselves, who does it affect?
05:16 - 05:17
Where does the responsibility lie?
05:20 - 05:23
Okay, Longevity of being pro choice.
05:25 - 05:25
Mental illness?
05:26 - 05:28
Let's get down to the like.
05:28 - 05:31
If a child is born into a family or into
05:31 - 05:33
a single mother that is not prepared, that is not
05:33 - 05:34
financially stable.
05:35 - 05:38
Poverty. You know those type of things.
05:38 - 05:43
We look at the socialistic makeup of so many situations
05:47 - 05:49
it could nip, so those things in the butt nothing
05:50 - 05:50
is perfect.
05:50 - 05:53
You know, it's not meant to take care of a
05:53 - 05:58
mistake or erase something in every situation is different.
05:59 - 06:02
If we're gonna law this if we're gonna put protocols
06:03 - 06:05
on this, if we're gonna put limitations on this, let's
06:05 - 06:07
break it down and have some real meaning behind it.
06:07 - 06:09
Let's look at it as a human aspects.
06:09 - 06:12
Let's look at it as a civil right, Like, this
06:12 - 06:16
is not something that just can be okay and okay.
06:16 - 06:20
And okay, we could be breeding or creating situations that
06:20 - 06:21
could be completely avoided.
06:25 - 06:27
Being pro choice to me isn't a choice.
06:28 - 06:28
It's a right.
06:30 - 06:30
Thank you for your time tonight.
