  1. it will waste as exposure to hunting at a young
  2. age impact somebody's life while I'll tell you there's dressing
  3. up to go in the woods at never thought it
  4. would be until I grew up I started going hunting
  5. with my dad when I was about eight or nine
  6. years old, would wake up super super early, put on
  7. our socks, snow pants, boots, jackets, hats, and mittens and
  8. started to walk into the dark woods.
  9. My younger sister and I never really understood why we
  10. had to be so quiet when we were outside, after
  11. we got up into our tree stand, we had to
  12. play the waiting game.
  13. Even though my sister and I had our tablets, we
  14. got bored very, very easily.
  15. We'd whisper and goof around a lot.
  16. I don't know how my dad did kick us out.
  17. Mhm Throughout the day we saw a lot of deer
  18. here and there, but my dad loves finding the biggest
  19. ones. Of course we were too young to shoot the
  20. deer. So my dad always did it.
  21. Once we saw the best one, my sister would shout,
  22. shoot a dad shoot it.
  23. I remember feeling so excited that we finally shot something
  24. after all that waiting.
  25. We went and got the deer and little did my
  26. sister and I know that that they would have to
  27. be field dressed and if you don't know what that
  28. means, it means the deer has to be gutted.
  29. I thought it was so funny when my dad said
  30. dad, you didn't, no, you didn't say anything about blood
  31. and guts.
  32. At the end of the day we had the deer
  33. and all I could think about was getting ready to
  34. do the same thing the next day.
  35. So hunting isn't really just going on the woods, sitting
  36. around and doing nothing.
  37. Hunting has a lot of lessons that can come with
  38. it, such as teaching you patience, responsibility and respect Me.
  39. Being 17 years old is a really young age to
  40. have a possession of a firearm.
  41. Well some people are bow hunters but I'm, my family
  42. uses firearms and that's a big responsibility to have and
  43. my dad trusts me with that and that's a big
  44. responsibility to take on being so young to carry a
  45. firearm because a lot of times parents don't let their
  46. kids play with firearms because of the amount of damage
  47. that they can do.
  48. Well. If you're like me using it in a um
  49. controlled environment and you know what you're doing and you're
  50. taught very well how to use it then there should
  51. be no problem.
  52. Hunting in itself is not just a sport or hobby.
  53. There's a lot of other things that can teach you
  54. it can teach you the importance of slowing down and
  55. enjoying the simple things in life.
  56. It's really fun hobby.
  57. You can do it with anybody that you want and
  58. I really enjoy doing it.
  59. And my dad, overall hunting can have a big impact
  60. on your life if you let it.
  61. And it can teach you a lot of valuable lessons
  62. too. I wouldn't think of hunting as just going out,
  63. sitting for hours and shooting a gun to kill something.
  64. There's so much more to it than that.
  65. While you sit out there and wait, you take a
  66. look at life around you and realize how beautiful our
  67. world is and not every day you see you have
  68. to kill of course you want to find the best
  69. one, but just sitting out and taking it all and
  70. can really change your perspective on life.
  71. I personally killed dear to eat and have food for
  72. and some people are trophy hunters and hunt for the
  73. antlers, but there's always a reason as to why you're
  74. hunting. It would be pretty cool to just go out
  75. and kill animals just to kill them.
  76. Also, some people find hunting just isn't for them, but
  77. I find it to be so rewarding and very fun.
