00:01 - 00:02
Hello professor.
00:03 - 00:10
Uh my name is Dylan first and this will be my semester in a review final video essay.
00:14 - 00:16
So first off,
00:17 - 00:18
I'd just like to say thank you.
00:19 - 00:22
Um Overall, just for a great semester,
00:22 - 00:23
you're really able to connect with the
00:23 - 00:26
class and effective way while teaching virtually.
00:26 - 00:28
There were many times over this past year and
00:28 - 00:31
a half while taking courses online during covid,
00:31 - 00:34
where the task of attending classes or learning the material
00:35 - 00:37
tended to be
00:38 - 00:40
overwhelmingly at times pretty difficult.
00:41 - 00:45
I found that your ability to take to teach this class in a way that it engages
00:45 - 00:48
his students by asking us to thoughtfully apply
00:48 - 00:50
the knowledge we were learning throughout the semester,
00:51 - 00:54
especially into the diary feedback journals.
00:54 - 00:58
And these videos has overall been a really enjoyable experience for
00:58 - 01:01
me and I'd like to assume the others in class.
01:06 - 01:09
So what do we, what did I enjoy this semester?
01:11 - 01:14
So there were a lot of aspects of this class that I enjoyed.
01:14 - 01:19
Um some of them that I previously mentioned, the feedback journals,
01:19 - 01:23
the diary and the these videos of course.
01:23 - 01:25
Um
01:25 - 01:26
upon those.
01:27 - 01:32
Um I felt like there was a lot of open discussion during
01:32 - 01:34
class and the subjects that we were that we were discussing,
01:35 - 01:38
I found this a really effective way to
01:38 - 01:41
absorb the knowledge and the information that
01:41 - 01:44
you were trying to get across by discussing
01:45 - 01:47
certain topics.
01:47 - 01:51
The readings that we were asked the weekly readings,
01:51 - 01:55
we went over those in detail from different angles,
01:55 - 01:59
talked about the findings what our assumptions of them were.
02:00 - 02:03
And it made it really easy to absorb the material and
02:03 - 02:09
take that information and translate it into a theoretical sense,
02:09 - 02:11
especially within
02:12 - 02:13
the feedback journals.
02:13 - 02:17
It just made everything make more sense and apply those things to our life.
02:18 - 02:21
These engaging topics were also revel in it too.
02:22 - 02:24
Our lives as students in our age groups,
02:24 - 02:28
in your effort to discuss the eternal viewpoints and ideas
02:28 - 02:31
was had a really positive effect on this semester.
02:31 - 02:32
Yeah.
02:33 - 02:36
Another thing that I found really great about this class.
02:36 - 02:37
Um,
02:37 - 02:40
and just you specifically as a teacher is that you
02:40 - 02:45
were always engaging in pre and Pope reposted during class discussions
02:45 - 02:47
on current issues that were relevant to the course material
02:47 - 02:50
or to the stuff that we were discussing in class.
02:51 - 02:52
You know,
02:53 - 02:56
a note, Covid has been a different time,
02:56 - 03:01
but it was really nice to see you take a new approach to teaching,
03:02 - 03:06
especially in this class that I personally have an experience so far
03:06 - 03:09
um, since taking online classes.
03:12 - 03:13
So just
03:14 - 03:19
a farewell and good luck for me. This is my last semester of university.
03:19 - 03:21
I'm officially graduating.
03:22 - 03:25
I finished, my course is on the,
03:26 - 03:28
On 15 December, so
03:28 - 03:33
I'll be all finished and I just wanted to say one more time, thank you and uh,
03:34 - 03:35
good luck in the future
03:36 - 03:37
and farewell
