00:01 - 00:05
Hi. So I'm so excited about this opportunity to talk
00:05 - 00:06
with you today.
00:07 - 00:13
Um, so I am here to share with you, Um,
00:15 - 00:17
my journey in college.
00:18 - 00:23
So I actually started college at the age of 40
00:25 - 00:26
five. Wow.
00:27 - 00:31
45. And it was something that I always wanted to
00:31 - 00:31
do. Like to 14.
00:32 - 00:32
My education.
00:33 - 00:36
Um, but I never did get that opportunity.
00:37 - 00:43
So So when I left high school, um, I came
00:44 - 00:45
to Canada not too long after that.
00:45 - 00:51
And then, um, I started a family, so I had
00:51 - 00:54
kids and, you know, marriage and all that stuff.
00:54 - 00:56
And, um, good stuff.
00:57 - 01:03
Um, So I have two Children them, and they're now,
01:04 - 01:09
uh, so 1919 and 21.
01:10 - 01:11
So yeah.
01:12 - 01:18
So figure maybe in 45 starting college.
01:19 - 01:21
Um, it was pretty scary for me.
01:21 - 01:22
Very scary.
01:23 - 01:27
While I was excited, I was so anxious, I didn't
01:27 - 01:28
know what to expect.
01:29 - 01:34
And so so, yeah, it was a nerve working thing
01:34 - 01:34
for me.
01:34 - 01:38
And so the first day of college came, um, actually
01:40 - 01:40
oh, that's another story.
01:41 - 01:47
So, um, status college about the second and 33rd weekend,
01:48 - 01:52
too to college because there's some issues that I was
01:52 - 01:59
having, but, um, I started and, um, I was pretty
01:59 - 02:04
exciting. And now I'm at this journey at this part
02:05 - 02:09
in my life Where, um mm.
02:11 - 02:18
We're I am almost to graduate.
02:19 - 02:25
Um, it's been 2.5 years, and I am almost at
02:25 - 02:31
the finish line of this journey, and and so, um,
02:32 - 02:38
with no, we were in a pandemic right now, and,
02:40 - 02:42
um, there's been so many restrictions and everything.
02:44 - 02:47
Um, the city shut down and schools have shut down,
02:48 - 02:53
and, um, it's just a really trying time.
02:53 - 02:57
And so schools went online, right?
02:57 - 03:04
And so the door clothes, everything has increased while it's
03:04 - 03:06
such a an opportune time to learn.
03:07 - 03:13
Okay, Now you have to challenge yourself and just get
03:13 - 03:17
into, you know, some unknown territories and things that you,
03:18 - 03:24
um, hunting that you may not have known if it
03:24 - 03:25
wasn't this era.
03:25 - 03:30
Right? So, um, but my excitement in talking to you
03:30 - 03:34
is to really just give you some heads up.
03:35 - 03:36
Some of the things that I would have done in
03:37 - 03:43
my lifetime, um, starting college, I was you know, I
03:43 - 03:49
don't think I'm I know how to get organized, so
03:51 - 03:55
I struggle with, um, just organization, I guess.
03:56 - 04:00
And, um Mm.
04:00 - 04:03
Just the expectation of school.
04:03 - 04:07
Um, I think I was way over my head.
04:07 - 04:10
Um, you know, I left.
04:10 - 04:12
I left high school at 20.
04:16 - 04:16
Oh, this is
