  1. Hello. Good morning.
  2. Happy new Year.
  3. I I'm going to introduce myself because I haven't had
  4. the have been fortunate to meet any other parents on
  5. dhe. Your some of your Children may have made me
  6. so they might recognize me from a few days before
  7. we ah broke up for Christmas.
  8. So I, me and Mr Dublin felt that probably would
  9. be a good idea to just have a quick, short
  10. video, just talking thio the grown ups and have a
  11. better idea of what's gonna be happening.
  12. And also just to kind of create a more of
  13. a normal school community atmosphere.
  14. Eso This video is mainly for the grownups.
  15. We will be having a live meeting Zoom at 10:30
  16. a.m. today.
  17. So if everyone a with Children can assign in for
  18. that, that'd be really nice.
  19. And it would just encourage your Children to feel that,
  20. you know, they're still they're still learning.
  21. It's still continues prevision because we don't really wanna feel
  22. that that z uh not accessible.
  23. Okay, so I miss Gibson.
  24. She's sorry.
  25. Miss Dublin Still remembering Miss Dublin.
  26. She is at the moment at the gate, so I
  27. will introduce her once she's back.
  28. Eso I am Miss Core, which will be a new
  29. research and teacher for jellyfish.
  30. A fish, of course, on mis Dublin, who is a
  31. new teacher for seahorses.
  32. So she has, uh it was her first day back
  33. this week.
  34. So she hasn't met any of the Children or the
  35. parents yet, But she's a fantastic teacher, very experienced teacher
  36. on dhe.
  37. You'll get to meet her later on.
  38. And so the main emphasis I wanna make for this
  39. video is that we are want thio.
  40. We assure that we are here even though we're not
  41. here face to face, We are here to support on
  42. dhe help you through this difficult time.
  43. It isn't an easy task on DWI.
  44. Appreciate that having Children at home and having to do
  45. those tasks can be, um, quite heavy.
  46. And if you wanna just lighten and make sure it's
  47. as easy a ZX possible for you, so hopefully mawr
  48. weaken, upload more videos so that we can help guide
  49. you through, um, as a weeks ago, Boss, we have
  50. have uploaded plans for this week s O.
  51. I will just kind of go through a few of
  52. those things.
  53. Topics. Um Ah.
  54. Nde. Yes.
  55. I just want to make sure that if we can
  56. have with Children register for the zoom meeting 10th today,
  57. It's just a good start.
  58. A good kind of.
  59. If we all can do that, then it just helps
  60. that continuation off, having allow the Children engaged and not
  61. having to feel, um, left out on dhe off track.
  62. So, um, we have to kind up.
  63. We have to take it seriously in the sense that
  64. it is still the learning on dhe.
  65. We appreciate that.
  66. If if what we will do, we will make sure
  67. that anything that feels someone's missed out we can fill
  68. those gaps is or so we can upload, Um um,
  69. some guidance or tips.
  70. Or maybe we could do some lessons as well, if
  71. that is necessary.
  72. S o.
  73. I will introduce Miss Dublin once she's back on dhe.
  74. U m eso the overview just gonna pop.
  75. Let's have a look.
  76. Um, so this is just part of the plan.
  77. The rest of the plan will be on the Google
  78. classroom. Um, So the main focus today is if today
  79. is the day Theo epiphany, where the the wise men
  80. were told about Jesus Christ on Dhe was, um I
  81. was told to find Jesus Christ on dhe him gifts.
  82. So that would be the topic that will be discussing
  83. this week on dhe.
  84. If we come to the If you look at the
  85. the left hand side of the column, weaken under communication
  86. and language eyes what?
  87. We're gonna be focusing on the language used in the
  88. book that we're gonna be using Esa's They're listed some
  89. of thief Oh, cabs or new beginning.
  90. So the grades gifts.
  91. So any time you've got, uh ah, an opportunity to
  92. discuss any of this book have, and it will be
  93. more so when we're reading the story, we've got a
  94. nice activity where if if we can get hold of
  95. a gift box.
  96. So if you've got any boxes left over from Christmas
  97. on dhe, then what we're gonna do is if you
  98. can, um, select a toy, a toy that you can
  99. place into the gift box on, not let your child
  100. know what's inside on its more kind of like guessing.
  101. What do you think might be inside?
  102. Get them to shake it around, Let them be aware
  103. of what sounds are making.
  104. Why could it be that maybe checking the weight of
  105. the box on dhe, then with a physical development.
  106. We way.
  107. Sorry. That was the Bill s o.
  108. Joe. Joe Wicks has mentioned that he will be back
  109. on Monday.
  110. So we just left some quick 8 to 5 minutes
  111. workout videos.
  112. I've just left links in the plan.
  113. So just whenever you feel your child needs a little
  114. bit off stretch or some kind of activity, especially when
  115. you're sitting down on have been working through so maybe
  116. even advice after you've done a lesson with them, maybe
  117. just click on one of those links on get them
  118. running around and just keeping those blood flowing personal, social
  119. and emotional development.
  120. So we kind of wanna come back to the safety
  121. and three importance of washing hands on.
  122. We've got a nice clip that's on there as well.
  123. Which explains how to wash their hands, um, inside of
  124. your hands outside of your hands, in between your hands
  125. and fingertips.
  126. Eso That's quite a really nice, uh, charge friendly video.
  127. I haven't got the other the the other plans on
  128. the video.
  129. I can only show one eso with the with the
  130. other, uh, activities that we have planned for eso.
  131. They'll have another video.
  132. It will be a science experiment.
  133. Some of you might have heard it before.
  134. You get a black pepper, you put it in some
  135. water, you dip your finger, nothing happens.
  136. And then you put some liquid washing up liquid onto
  137. your finger and then put it back into the the
  138. bowl or black pepper with water.
  139. And you can see a with black pepper spreading outwards
  140. on dhe to show the effectiveness off.
  141. Washing your hands with soap on dhe, then for renew
  142. Massie. We thought that would be a good idea to
  143. kind of recap what we done, what the Children had
  144. done before Christmas break, just checking on their, uh, their
  145. knowledge on the number sequence.
  146. So knowing the numbers 1 to 10, if they want
  147. to do 12 20 on dhe, then we'll be looking
  148. at T numbers because I know Miss Vera.
  149. She was ah, nde and I was working on T
  150. numbers before Christmas.
  151. So we will do some recap on that.
  152. Andi, I was talking with Miss Dublin and we felt
  153. that if there are, there are sometimes concepts that are
  154. quite difficult to teach on.
  155. If you feel that you are struggling or the child
  156. is not not getting it, all we can.
  157. If you can communicate with us with using Google Google
  158. classroom, we can then see what we can do.
  159. And even if it's so we can demonstrate and model
  160. about on video ifit's if it's come to that point.
  161. So please, even if you're feeling a bit of doubt,
  162. please just let us know.
  163. It's just the best way to know that we we
  164. can offer that support as well.
  165. Eso that's new ISI.
  166. We So the topic.
  167. We've covered that phonics.
  168. Phonics. We have uploaded, um, some resources.
  169. Eso This is some really nice training videos for set
  170. one phonics.
  171. If you can go through those videos with your child
  172. and then it's more of a recap off this.
  173. Sit one, um, sounds on dhe.
  174. Then we've got some activities lined up for that as
  175. well. Um, for next I'm gonna introduce you to now,
  176. Miss Dublin.
  177. She's come back now from the gates, so please welcome.
  178. Yeah, man.
  179. And so, um, okay, s Oh, sorry about that.
  180. I had to pause that just so that we can
  181. just I could do.
  182. Inform Miss Dublin about what we just spoke about.
  183. So I'm just gonna welcome you, Thio.
  184. Welcome, Miss Dublin.
  185. So yourself.
  186. So Miss Dublin is the class and the class teacher
  187. for seahorses on dhe.
  188. She's going to discuss more about the gift box.
  189. Ah, nde What we're going to do with the gift
  190. box this week.
  191. So the gift box in the plan we've met, we've
  192. put down the gift box on dhe.
  193. What we would like you to do is just choose
  194. a new old unused box from home.
  195. Rather you found around your house.
  196. It could be a shoebox or anything, as long as
  197. it has a lid.
  198. I want you to find different materials at home that
  199. you can rap your gift box with on decorate it
  200. however you like.
  201. And then what we want you to do is keep
  202. that box ready for next week.
  203. We're going to use it for the Children's learning for
  204. encouraging some language and thinking in terms of what they
  205. would like if they were to give a gift.
  206. What would they like to give on what they would
  207. like to put inside it on.
  208. That would encourage their writing for next week.
  209. So they for this week decorate it.
  210. Keep it somewhere safe.
  211. And it also linked to the communication language plan for
  212. this week where you, as parents, are going to put
  213. choose a small toy, one of your child's toys and
  214. put in the gift box.
  215. But you're not going to tell them on dhe.
  216. Then you're gonna think of questions, and they're going to
  217. try and guess what tweet is that's inside.
  218. So that's in preparation.
  219. Ready for next week's learning.
  220. So keep that box safe.
  221. Okay, so I think this give w calling you Gibson.
  222. I don't know why eso miss w actually, uh, clearly
  223. really better than me.
  224. Explain that.
  225. So, um, just eso we will probably write the Sounders
  226. for, so to make sure that, you know, it should
  227. be covered, because I can I can I can imagine
  228. that I probably missed out a few things I wanted
  229. to say.
  230. Um, is anything else s o?
  231. We? We've covered numeracy.
  232. We spoke about doing T numbers this week so we
  233. could be capping some of the mass that we did
  234. they wounded before the holidays.
  235. I will probably have to wrap it up because we've
  236. only got a few minutes left.
  237. I just wanted to talk about the how to deliver
  238. on something lessons on maybe give some tips on what?
  239. We kind of expecting eso.
  240. We were discussing this earlier on what we expect expecting.
  241. We're not expecting the Children to have.
  242. Everything is perfect.
  243. We don't want that.
  244. We want to kind of want to see what the
  245. Children are capable off independently.
  246. Eso Even if you're just there dis guiding them.
  247. Maybe just kind of re, uh, way of paraphrasing what
  248. is needs to be done.
  249. Um, but like like I said earlier, we can Any
  250. issues you've got, you can communicate with us, uh, Google
  251. classroom. If you find it, it's necessary.
  252. We can model different activities if you are struggling.
  253. I'm not sure if eso we spoke about the science
  254. experiment. Phonics?
  255. Um, everything's on.
  256. There s so we've got some nice teaching videos with
  257. juices. I don't know if you want to speak about
  258. the restaurant.
  259. The read write Inc s O obviously is.
  260. You know, the Children have been learning their sounds all
  261. of last term.
  262. On within the read reading program Away, the Children have
  263. learned what we call set one sounds.
  264. So they're familiar with those sounds, eh?
  265. So what we want you to do at home is
  266. just to use the the freeze and the cards with
  267. the letters and encourage Children to read their sounds and
  268. say the sounds on have a go handwriting as well.
  269. For each letter, there is a handwriting rhyme on DSI.
  270. If the Children can remember those rhymes, if they can't,
  271. that's okay, but it's good to encourage them.
  272. Thio, continue the handwriting as much as possible.
  273. Um, but the resources there are great eso it is.
  274. It's self explanatory on there.
  275. Also about the blood club.
  276. Yes, the blood club, is it?
  277. But a couple of book club Book club s each
  278. child has been assigned a book for reading online on
  279. Dhe. Once your child has read that book, we then
  280. get a notification that they have
