00:00 - 00:02
Hi, my name is Anthony Galindo.
00:03 - 00:04
Ordinary world.
00:05 - 00:07
My middle school was Millikan Middle School.
00:07 - 00:13
It was a great three years I've met a lot
00:13 - 00:17
of interesting people, had a lot of amazing memories there
00:17 - 00:22
and still to this day have a couple of life
00:22 - 00:25
lasting friends that I believe will be with me for
00:27 - 00:28
probably the rest of my life.
00:29 - 00:33
Yeah. Call to adventure.
00:34 - 00:35
My next stop is high school.
00:36 - 00:39
Last year I started attending North Hollywood High School man,
00:40 - 00:44
uh, freshman year at a rough start.
00:45 - 00:48
But this year I'm getting the hang of it.
00:50 - 01:01
Yeah, refusal of the car before I, during the summer
01:01 - 01:05
of going into freshman year, I didn't really see the
01:05 - 01:06
point of school.
01:07 - 01:09
I thought a lot, a lot of the subjects were
01:11 - 01:15
not for me and I thought they weren't really teaching
01:15 - 01:17
me anything, so I didn't really want to attend.
01:18 - 01:23
I wanted to drop everything and just pursue things that
01:23 - 01:25
I liked and enjoyed my hobbies.
01:28 - 01:32
I didn't really have great grades.
01:32 - 01:37
The beginning of this semester, my mentors that, that I
01:37 - 01:40
thought brought me through my freshman year were my friends
01:41 - 01:41
from middle school.
01:42 - 01:50
Um They helped me through a lot and I, they
01:50 - 01:54
helped me through my grades and uh had a different
01:54 - 01:58
mindset than I did about school and um let me
01:59 - 02:01
down that pathway of fixing my grades.
02:09 - 02:14
Yeah. My crush threshold.
02:16 - 02:16
Uh huh.
02:17 - 02:19
I was finally convinced to attend school.
02:20 - 02:27
My grades started to improve um slowly but surely they
02:27 - 02:29
started to improve from lower grades to higher grades.
02:31 - 02:34
Um, I think I believe some of the tests that
02:35 - 02:40
I got thrown at where um, my grades started to
02:40 - 02:46
drop and I think um, people just wanted to see
02:47 - 02:51
where that would take me once my grades hit rock
02:51 - 02:56
bottom. Uh, my allies throughout those were all over Aaron
02:56 - 02:57
and Ryan.
02:57 - 03:01
As you saw in the last slide, my three friends,
03:02 - 03:06
I've been with me for about five years now and
03:07 - 03:10
um, I don't really have any any enemies, but I
03:10 - 03:14
think the only enemy I had was myself through through
03:14 - 03:16
these times because I had a lot of doubt in
03:16 - 03:26
myself. And yeah, um my approach, this is the time
03:26 - 03:29
between transferring from in person to online classes.
03:31 - 03:33
It wasn't really upsetting to me.
03:35 - 03:38
I found I found this as more of a reason
03:38 - 03:40
to pursue my hobbies.
03:40 - 03:42
I had a lot more free time in the beginning
03:42 - 03:46
of it, of the global pandemic and I enjoyed that
03:46 - 03:46
free time.
03:47 - 03:51
My ordeal, Covid hit hard all over the world, causing
03:51 - 03:52
global pandemic.
03:52 - 03:54
So I wasn't able to see my friends in person
03:55 - 03:59
and as often and it was rough not being able
03:59 - 04:01
to see them and make more memories with them.
04:05 - 04:08
Um My reward, my grades.
04:10 - 04:15
This year, my grades rose a lot.
04:16 - 04:20
Then my first year of high school, my time management
04:20 - 04:21
also got better.
04:23 - 04:26
Um My road back my first lot.
04:26 - 04:29
My first semester of sophomore year I had straight A's.
04:30 - 04:33
And I I was really proud of myself after that
04:34 - 04:37
first semester and I started to think about my future
04:38 - 04:40
and where I wanted what I wanted to lean towards.
04:41 - 04:50
Mhm. My resurrection during the pandemic, I learned to manage
04:51 - 04:56
my time a lot better and right yeah I manage
04:56 - 05:00
my time a lot better with sports academics and other
05:00 - 05:03
hobbies of mine that I enjoyed doing and want to
05:03 - 05:04
pursue some of them.
05:07 - 05:09
Uh Return with elixir.
05:09 - 05:11
I hope to graduate with a 3.8 G.
05:11 - 05:12
P. A.
05:12 - 05:14
And get into most of my college.
05:14 - 05:17
Is that I apply to and then hopefully when I'm
05:17 - 05:20
older I want to pursue something in the medical industry.
05:22 - 05:25
Ah, I think that would be nice and hopefully get
05:26 - 05:28
into some colleges with my friends.
05:30 - 05:31
What would help a lot with me?
05:36 - 05:42
Yeah, that's all I have to present.
05:44 - 05:46
Thank you for listening and goodbye.
