00:00 - 00:01
Hello everyone.
00:01 - 00:03
My name is Guy Evans and today I'm going to
00:03 - 00:07
be discussing my swat analysis, so the essence wa is
00:08 - 00:12
represented by strengths, so my strength that I have naturally,
00:13 - 00:15
um or being an adaptable and personal person.
00:16 - 00:19
So being adaptable in the classroom and workplace is a
00:19 - 00:19
huge advantage.
00:20 - 00:24
Um whatever gets thrown at you, you'd be able to
00:24 - 00:26
find a solution quick and it allows for great turnover
00:27 - 00:31
time with tasks being personal, it allows for negotiations and
00:32 - 00:34
conflict in the workplace or the classroom to go away
00:35 - 00:38
smoother and great work efficiency in a group setting or
00:39 - 00:42
in a classroom setting or with customers in the workplace.
00:43 - 00:44
Managing conflict.
00:45 - 00:49
When I 1st began in this class, my managing conflict
00:49 - 00:53
was not very good and I noticed that so I
00:53 - 00:56
took it upon myself to use the skills and techniques
00:57 - 01:00
learned and these modules to build that technique.
01:01 - 01:03
And I believe it's one of my strengths in mind
01:03 - 01:05
because I've used it on a day to day basis
01:06 - 01:08
at work and it's become very successful for me.
01:09 - 01:13
Being a leader has been one of my natural born
01:13 - 01:17
gifts ever since I was younger, um ever in the
01:17 - 01:19
classroom, if we're working in a group setting, I was
01:19 - 01:23
always the one that would organize the team and make
01:23 - 01:26
sure everyone's getting along, which goes side and side of
01:27 - 01:29
great work efficiency and great good team around.
01:30 - 01:33
So overall everyone is doing their best and having a
01:33 - 01:34
great time at the same time.
01:36 - 01:38
So what strengths come weaknesses?
01:39 - 01:42
Um one of my bad habits in the workplace and
01:42 - 01:45
weakness in the classroom is procrastinating and being unmotivated.
01:47 - 01:50
So usually I've waited to the last minute to do
01:50 - 01:53
all my assignments or task at work and it allows
01:53 - 01:57
through bad work and bad results of what I'm doing
01:57 - 02:01
and I believe I could work on that tremendously why
02:01 - 02:05
by just taking time and doing what I need to
02:05 - 02:09
do beforehand and being unmotivated, allows goes hand in hand
02:09 - 02:09
with that.
02:10 - 02:13
Um bad work comes out of being unmotivated, I don't
02:13 - 02:16
like what I'm doing, it affects those around me as
02:16 - 02:19
well. So those are some things that are some bad
02:19 - 02:20
habits that I could work on.
02:21 - 02:27
Something that can be changed in my education, there are
02:27 - 02:28
some negotiation techniques.
02:29 - 02:32
So in this class we went over this and um
02:32 - 02:33
I try to use it on a day to day
02:33 - 02:35
basis at work, but I don't believe it's become one
02:35 - 02:37
of my strengths, it's still one of my weaknesses.
02:38 - 02:40
I always find myself on the tail end of negotiations
02:41 - 02:44
and to allow the other person to take over and
02:44 - 02:47
take control of the results of the negotiations.
02:48 - 02:50
So I believe on the rest of my used to
02:50 - 02:52
have career, I can work on that as a person
02:53 - 02:57
and use in the workplace as I um can do
02:57 - 02:58
it on a day to day basis.
02:59 - 03:04
Public speaking is something that I um tend to lack
03:04 - 03:08
in my class, mates tend to see that in me
03:08 - 03:10
as I go up for presentations, I tend to stutter
03:11 - 03:14
in front of a big crowd in that can lead
03:15 - 03:17
to bad presentations and not letting me get my point
03:18 - 03:23
across um, smoothly and throughout lee so some opportunities in
03:23 - 03:23
the industry.
03:24 - 03:28
Um as for my career, I love to go in
03:28 - 03:30
the sports business industry, I have a love for sports
03:30 - 03:32
and that's something I could be motivated in.
03:32 - 03:37
Um but that goes Sports business industry is growing as
03:37 - 03:39
financially every single day.
03:39 - 03:42
In this past year it's grown 4.4%, which is the
03:42 - 03:46
largest we've ever seen it um, probably in decades.
03:47 - 03:50
So new technology, like mixed reality allows for the sports
03:51 - 03:53
ministry to have a high ceiling and allows for new
03:54 - 03:55
opportunities to grow every day for my career.
03:56 - 04:02
And that allows great exponential growth for the industry and
04:02 - 04:06
great revenue for the industry, which allows post hand in
04:06 - 04:07
hand with more opportunities.
04:09 - 04:11
Yeah, there are some threats to that though.
04:11 - 04:14
As everyone knows, Covid has changed the way sports has
04:15 - 04:18
been played or when Spectators come to the stadium and
04:18 - 04:21
that has affected works organizations hugely.
04:24 - 04:26
There is a huge competition and small market for these
04:26 - 04:27
jobs in the sports industry.
04:28 - 04:31
So that's another said that I'd have to overcome, I
04:32 - 04:34
have to have great education and great experience in order
04:34 - 04:38
to get into this industry and be a great in
04:38 - 04:39
this industry.
04:41 - 04:45
So using the swat analysis, I want to turn my
04:45 - 04:46
negatives into positives.
04:48 - 04:51
I've done a self assessment on myself and I want
04:51 - 04:54
to work on my public speaking and managing conflict.
04:54 - 04:58
So when I have in my career, when I have
04:58 - 05:02
to use these things, it allows me to um have
05:02 - 05:04
an upper hand on those and allows me to grow
05:05 - 05:09
as a person on in my career and allows great
05:09 - 05:10
things to happen exponentially.
05:11 - 05:12
So thank you.
