  1. Hi, everybody. I'm Emma Doors.
  2. I'm just gonna run through today's Tech Tuesday tip with you.
  3. So today I'm gonna talk to you about a really cool piece
  4. of a I software that's available online for teachers called Question.
  5. Well,
  6. so let's start by having a look at question.
  7. Well, question Well is an A I powered website,
  8. which helps teachers to generate quizzes that can be
  9. exported into a variety of online quiz platforms.
  10. So
  11. what we can see is how well this can be used to help us to question
  12. our students for retrieval practise.
  13. So,
  14. uh, let's talk about how do you get started with question?
  15. Well, the first thing you're gonna need to do after you go to the website
  16. is to use your school Google account to get started.
  17. So on the home page for question Well, if you click, try it out.
  18. You'll be given this screen, which shows you, uh, log in to get started.
  19. If you click on sign in with Google, you can use your school Google account
  20. to get signed in
  21. next step from That,
  22. of course, is make sure you are using that school account if you have other
  23. Google accounts signed in,
  24. and then
  25. you'll be brought to ask to give permission
  26. by Google to be able to integrate question while website
  27. with your Google account. So if you select the check the box
  28. and select this option
  29. and then just click on, continue down at the bottom
  30. and you're all signed up ready to go.
  31. So if you want to make a quiz, first of all, you'll be taken to this screen,
  32. which will ask you to confirm that you've read the terms and conditions.
  33. It also has a check box.
  34. If you would like to receive their promotional emails,
  35. that's completely optional.
  36. Just click on to continue,
  37. and you can then go ahead and start making a quiz. Strongly.
  38. Advise that you think about what you're gonna make
  39. your quiz about before you start using it.
  40. But essentially you can copy and paste any kind
  41. of text that you are using with your students.
  42. Or you could even put in a link to a
  43. YouTube video or a Web page for automatic question generation.
  44. It's completely optional for you to also add in some learning outcomes or question
  45. well itself will actually generate learning outcomes from what you've put into it.
  46. So here you can see it's just got some information pasted into it.
  47. What I've done is use some information for my physics class,
  48. and I want to go ahead and generate questions.
  49. So I've taken the text that I would share with the students.
  50. And the only option, if you do not upgrade, is to use multiple choice questions.
  51. So that will be the automatic, uh, choice here.
  52. And then we click on Generate set at the bottom
  53. with all the information in it.
  54. And what you will do is you'll see the little
  55. A I robot thinking about your text that you've put in
  56. and starting to generate multiple choice questions for you.
  57. And then, at that point,
  58. what you will see
  59. is your quiz has been generated.
  60. When it's done, it's thinking, which can take a couple of minutes.
  61. So then you'll see left with this page,
  62. which has a number of options down the left hand side.
  63. On the right hand side, you'll see the questions that the quiz has come up with,
  64. and you can also see the learning outcomes that it's generated for me.
  65. Here, um,
  66. has been tagged each of the questions with the particular learning outcome.
  67. And so what I've got. There is a series of questions.
  68. It's really important that you check those questions for accuracy yourself,
  69. because as good as the A I is, it is not a human,
  70. and it's certainly not a replacement for a teacher, So have a good look through them.
  71. You can add or delete the questions as you see fit.
  72. You can also put your own questions onto the end.
  73. If you feel that you wanted to add something
  74. when you're all done with that, all that remains is for you to export your quiz.
  75. And if you click on the
  76. left hand side of the screen on the dropdown menu,
  77. you can see that there are multiple options for
  78. how you might choose to export your quiz.
  79. And you've got online quiz platforms such as quizzes cahoot, gim kit Block it,
  80. uh, you can also export it just in the form of Google, a Google Form or Google slides.
  81. So, depending on which format you want to use, there are so many options for you there
  82. if you have any questions about what to do with the online quizzes,
  83. then please feel free to get in touch with me.
  84. Or you could go and have a look at the online Google training.
  85. We around on retrieval, practise and online quizzing.
  86. So that's everything for today's tech Tuesday. I hope that it's helpful
  87. and have a great day everyone.
