  1. Hi, My name is Sydney Andrews, and today I'll be
  2. presenting my digital inclusion of project.
  3. I'll start by going over the agenda.
  4. So firstly, I'll give an introduction of my digital inclusion
  5. of a project.
  6. Then we'll move on to Project Scope Management Plan, um
  7. delivery, bals organizational hierarchy, the work breakdown structure, work breakdown
  8. structure, dictionary milestones, roles and responsibilities, project scheduling risks, quality
  9. plan, financial plan and project procurement issues, as well as
  10. finally assumptions to give you a brief introduction about what
  11. the digital inclusion project aims to do.
  12. The Digital Inclusion project aims to help eliminate the digital
  13. divide experienced within the new Westminster community by providing a
  14. space where people are able to come, use our devices
  15. for free and where there's also free WiFi access.
  16. We're also aiming to help our community by sourcing donations
  17. of tablets, laptops, desktops, um, and from people in the
  18. community and from organizations.
  19. And then, in turn, we will redistribute these to people
  20. in need.
  21. We are hopeful that our project will assist those living
  22. in homelessness or living in poverty on their journey away
  23. from poverty, and it will help to foster connections that
  24. are in my opinion so important in the creation of
  25. a healthy and inclusive society for all some things that
  26. are most important to me, that my project team focuses
  27. on our effective team communication, staying on top of all
  28. communications and completely understanding the project.
  29. My project has six deliverables, the first being to source
  30. laptop sex tops, phones and tablets from outside businesses and
  31. members of the community to have 50 devices available for
  32. use by opening day.
  33. Um, the second is to create advertisements for the projects
  34. Instagram page using canvas to create flyers and brochures to
  35. put in shops around New Westminster using canvas as well.
  36. Um, the third designate location for those wishing to donate
  37. used electronics, Um, for designate a person to manage the
  38. ongoing device distribution and management of space.
  39. Once the project is completed, uh, five bi weekly, there
  40. will be one hour steering community meetings to ensure that
  41. the project is on track and going to be completed
  42. successfully. Um six.
  43. Find a location in New Westminster that is easy to
  44. access by transit or walking, and has space for four
  45. people at a time.
  46. This chart just demonstrates the organizational hierarchy of my project.
  47. So above myself is the project sponsor, Eamon, um, and
  48. then the project manager myself, Sydney Andrews.
  49. And then we have three people working on our device
  50. distribution team.
  51. Um, Courtney, Crisan and Colin.
  52. And then our tech team is made up of one
  53. individual named Donald King, and our Internet access team is
  54. run by an aromatic.
  55. Here is my work breakdown structure.
  56. So I have it broken down into location design, device
  57. distribution, creating awareness, um, device donations and project management here.
  58. I have just zoomed my face out and zoomed this
  59. in so that everybody can get a better look at
  60. my WBS dictionary.
  61. Um, I have them classified by I d name and
  62. description. In this slide, I'll be talking about my milestones.
  63. So the first milestone that we have is the approval
  64. of the project plan, um, which, which has been approved
  65. already by February 1st.
  66. Then location for the Tech cafe was found on February
  67. 26. It is going to be in the purpose building.
  68. Next is devices collected.
  69. So we're aiming for 50 devices by March 22nd, which
  70. is our opening day, and we are already well on
  71. the way to 50 devices, which is perfect.
  72. Um are opening day will be march 22nd 2021 then
  73. our project completion will be April 1st 2021.
  74. And once the project is completed, we will have to
  75. hire someone to manage the ongoing device, distribution and aspects
  76. of this project.
  77. So this chart showcases our project team members individual roles
  78. as well as their responsibilities.
  79. Um so, for example, myself, Sydney Andrews, project manager.
  80. I managed the project team and all day today Project
  81. needs, and I'm responsible for the execution of all project
  82. management activities.
  83. Um, Ayman is our project sponsor.
  84. He approves the project plan, resolves issues that have been
  85. escalated. Uh, Donald King Tech team creates how to videos
  86. for our clients.
  87. Just right beside me here.
  88. I have laid out a Gant chart for everyone to
  89. view. It shows the planning stage location soliciting devices, creating
  90. awareness and device distribution for project risks.
  91. I have created a risk assessment matrix as well as
  92. a risk response matrix.
  93. Um, the risk assessment and risk response matrix are used
  94. to show how risks will be handled if they do
  95. arise as well as their likelihood of occurrence and the
  96. impact that they will have if they do occur.
  97. Our project team has also committed to having biweekly meetings
  98. to discuss new risks that make occur and to monitor
  99. current risks.
  100. So this is my quality plan.
  101. I am responsible for all elements of quality within this
  102. project. And my top concern for quality will be ensuring
  103. that people are receiving services and devices that are useful
  104. to them.
  105. This is my financial plan.
  106. We have a total budget of $50,000 and it has
  107. been broken down here for you to see.
  108. So for number 13 project procurement issues, resources for this
  109. project will all be supplied through the lower mainland purpose
  110. Society as they have all the required resources needed already
  111. to complete this project.
  112. Device donations are the only resource that may cause US
  113. issues. But the project has a contingency plan in place
  114. in case there are not enough devices, um donated to
  115. the project and then lastly, for project assumptions are projects.
  116. Exemptions are as follows.
  117. All team members will have the necessary skills to complete
  118. their individual tasks successfully.
  119. All work will be completed from Monday to Friday from
  120. 9 to 5.
  121. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. All staff members will be
  122. trained on naloxone use.
  123. All key team members will be available for necessary stakeholder
  124. meetings and the project will remain on schedule and milestones
  125. will be accurate.
  126. That is all for the digital inclusion of project.
  127. Thank you all for listening and see you later.
