  1. uh, today I'm gonna be talking about my vision here
  2. at Young Life.
  3. First off, young life is a place that introduce kids
  4. Jesus Christ and walks alongside them in their journey of
  5. faith. For years, young life has benefited many lives and
  6. giving kids the best week of their lives and with
  7. young life will bring a lot of kids to know
  8. the Lord.
  9. They will have a mentor and a lifelong friend alongside
  10. them to walk through this journey of faith.
  11. Young life is run by a group of generous volunteers
  12. and donors.
  13. Since young life is not too big in this particular
  14. area, uh, many things they're gonna be running a little
  15. bit differently.
  16. The ways in which show is going to be run
  17. different are very effective for the community that I am
  18. a part of.
  19. So what we need what we need parents to start
  20. is to start sending their kids to young life camp.
  21. This will be a great step for the community and
  22. will be very beneficial for all the kids here.
  23. The problem that we have in this area is the
  24. fact that not many families have the funds to send
  25. their kids to young camp.
  26. So this is the thing that actually happens in many
  27. areas. Many areas are, uh, have to be funded, can't
  28. find ways, toe do so.
  29. So since there is many kids in the area who
  30. cannot pay for young life camp experience, it is our
  31. job to help.
  32. That makes this possible.
  33. We'll be able to do fundraisers in the area, and
  34. it will be a great way to gain followers along
  35. with the kids connecting and the community things.
  36. I just cookouts, can drives and banquets to receive donations
  37. to send the kids within the community.
  38. So our vision young life will start this year and
  39. will continue for many, many years after this.
  40. This is a great way for all the kids in
  41. the community to meet the Lord and how and build
  42. relationships. I was the only student once and relationships that
  43. I built with my counselors, leaders, mentors insane, and I
  44. really still talk to them on a daily basis, um,
  45. and connect all the time eso the action set.
  46. The staff volunteers that young life are always focusing on
  47. the kids and what matters to them.
  48. This involves adventures, fun, friendship, an immense sense of significance
  49. many of the leaders for the students of young life
  50. in middle school and high school or college students.
  51. This is outstanding way for them to be able to
  52. connect so easily and understand what is going on in
  53. their lives.
  54. Along with that is more of is more of a
  55. sense of comfort talking to someone close to your age
  56. rather than an adult.
  57. Yeah, I think that's really huge, being able to talk
  58. to someone kind of close in age, an adult, not
  59. a parent, not someone that feels like they have to
  60. be there, someone that's volunteering, giving their time, wanting to
  61. be there all they can.
  62. These leaders truly do care about these kids and is
  63. an awesome experience.
  64. So while reading testimonies from several young life students and
  65. mentors, you can easy to pick one common theme.
  66. The first one is about how young life has brought
  67. them so much closer to the Lord over the years.
  68. But the really the more significant one is about the
  69. relationship between the student and mentor.
  70. The student metal relationship seems to be like none other.
  71. It is a bond that many don't understand until they
  72. get to experience it first hand in conclusion.
  73. Young. It is an amazing nonprofit organization.
  74. They have touched the lives of so many goods through
  75. the years.
  76. I was lucky enough to experience this firsthand.
  77. It cannot wait for all your kids who have the
  78. same experience I did.
  79. Thank you so much.
