  1. hi green families.
  2. It's Sandy McClure, your principal here.
  3. And I just wanted to take a minute to talk
  4. to you about what you can expect in coming back
  5. to phase two.
  6. This video does go and complement with the slides that
  7. I sent out on Monday night.
  8. Um, but I will also be referencing those slides in
  9. this presentation.
  10. So if you don't have them feel free to email
  11. me or simply follow along in this video and I
  12. hope that will help you, let's go ahead and get
  13. started just so that you know there will be three
  14. videos that will cover the entire presentation.
  15. This is the first video.
  16. So we're gonna be talking about the safety guidelines in
  17. the second video will get into schedules including arrival, dismissal,
  18. lunch, Um, and all of those topics in our third
  19. and final video will just be some tips and ways
  20. that you can help support this presentation.
  21. Outfront should look familiar to you because that was the
  22. one that was sent out that I'm referencing right now
  23. in our safety, I want to make sure that you
  24. understand the various parts that we are making sure that
  25. safety is our number one priority.
  26. One of the changes that you'll see is that each
  27. and every day our parents will be completing a clear
  28. path for our students.
  29. You'll see that there will be seven questions that you'll
  30. be asked to complete this.
  31. The clear past link is located in this presentation on
  32. the slides as well as we will have Q R
  33. codes posted throughout our campus that you can use, and
  34. we even have a paper copy of this.
  35. But you'll have the seven questions that you'll answer each
  36. day for your child.
  37. Submit that, and that will be your child's pass into
  38. school. When you complete that pass, um, ensuring that your
  39. child is safe to come to school.
  40. You'll receive this.
  41. Now. You can either print out this response that shows
  42. the date and time that you completed it, or you
  43. can simply show us on your phone as you are
  44. at the arrival gates.
  45. So either way, you'll get that clear pass, and then
  46. you'll just show us that your child is clear to
  47. come to school, either in a printed version or on
  48. your phone.
  49. We also are making sure in educating our families and
  50. students on the proper wearing of a mask, making sure
  51. that it covers entirely over the nose on down to
  52. the chin and is snug on the sides making sure
  53. that the mask is kept up.
  54. We do not allow mass that are open at the
  55. bottom. So no bandannas Where, um, it is open at
  56. the bottom.
  57. It does need to be snug around the entire face.
  58. We are also making changes to our classrooms that you'll
  59. see. And so all of our desk, um, will be
  60. 5 to 6 ft apart.
  61. Um, and you can see, um, in this photo here
  62. just how different a classroom might look from the one
  63. that you So, um, us here last.
  64. And so we do have that spacing that we're making
  65. sure that we adhere to.
  66. We also have the ability to have barriers.
  67. We do have that equipment here, um, as well.
  68. But this would be pretty typical in a classroom.
  69. One of our teachers mentioned to her students.
  70. She said, You're just like me now.
  71. Your justice as big as mine and you have just
  72. as much space and the kids like that pretty well.
  73. We'll be doing a lot of education for our students
  74. on what it is to be 6 ft apart and
  75. so making sure that our students know the distance so
  76. that they can keep safe on this slide that you
  77. received in our presentation.
  78. There was lots of details on on safety guidelines.
  79. So you can go to any one of these links
  80. and there'll be lots of information on the testing and
  81. more. We do have an overall school plan that you
  82. can go through in looking at the details of how
  83. we are ensuring safety at each and every step for
  84. our students.
  85. A few last changes that I do want to mention,
  86. um, we will not be having drop in at the
  87. office. We do need you to make an appointment ahead
  88. of time.
  89. We will always set up information tables just before school
  90. and just after school that you can drop by on
  91. the outside just to keep everybody safe.
  92. Because, as you know, our office is very tiny.
  93. Um, and it's really difficult to keep that space, So
  94. we will ask you to just call ahead.
  95. Um, if you are coming by campus, we don't have
  96. on campus access for our parents.
  97. We only have essential volunteers.
  98. Um, and that is to ensure maintaining the space and
  99. distance for us as well as no valet service.
  100. So it we will not be having valet service.
  101. We obviously will not be having our students running ballet.
  102. Um, we will be using the gate system, which will
  103. be talking a lot about in our next video, where
  104. each grade level will be assigned a specific gate.
  105. Um, the good news is we do have additional staffing
  106. going on in each of our classroom.
  107. So it's our hope to have an additional adult in
  108. every one of our classrooms.
  109. As I mentioned, we will have our mess that will
  110. be required on campus as well as our distance.
  111. And then the final change that we do need to
  112. make is unfortunately, we will not be able to continue
  113. with birthday treats.
  114. Well, I mean paired items on that.
  115. I hope this presentation was helpful to you, and I'll
  116. be putting on our next one on our arrival, dismissal
  117. and those details have a great day
