  1. welcome back to another computer lesson.
  2. Today's topic is computer basics on.
  3. We want to begin by defining what a computer actually
  4. is. All right.
  5. So the important thing that I want you to remember
  6. when defining a computer is that it is Elektronik, that
  7. it's it's automated robotic.
  8. It's powered by electrical energy.
  9. It is a machine.
  10. Okay, on dhe.
  11. How or why do we as humans use computers?
  12. Well, when we watch a YouTube video or when we
  13. play a robot scheme, we stand up.
  14. What's up?
  15. Message? We research the Internet for information.
  16. Information we type or record and save information on our
  17. phones. Uh, we are use our game consoles, tablets, laptops.
  18. We are utilizing a calculator to help us solve problem.
  19. When we do, all of these things were using the
  20. computer for either entertainment communication, learning, storage calculation.
  21. Alright, so that is how we use computers.
  22. All right, next thing, I want us to look at
  23. the advantages so many times, if we have to carry
  24. out the particular task that I just mentioned when they
  25. do it on our own, it would take us a
  26. long time to do it.
  27. Yeah, but computers help us to compare or toe complete.
  28. Sorry. Those task in a far short of time.
  29. Um, we do it with more precision on dso if
  30. we require greater capacity to store information.
  31. The computer lets us do that on the computer.
  32. Also does not get tired of doing work.
  33. All right, so think about a vacuum cleaner.
  34. Think about your calculator or even your tablet that you're
  35. using. All right.
  36. They can be more reliable on their more dependable All
  37. right to do the functions that we need them to
  38. do. Okay.
  39. And so the advantages off using a computer is that
  40. it's faster.
  41. It's more accurate on it.
  42. Doesn't get tired, right?
  43. It has most domina.
  44. Okay, let's look at the next light.
  45. So the bottom line then that I want you to
  46. remember is that they simply make our work easier.
  47. Okay, So while computers are excellent, they're robust machines.
  48. They do not trump the most important, uh, machine that
  49. has ever been created.
  50. And that is our brains.
  51. Alright, we as humans have ah compute Ah computer in
  52. our head right?
  53. We have our brain on our brain is in intelligent.
  54. Alright. We don't use enough of it.
  55. Okay? So computers don't work or function, except people tell
  56. them what to do on DSO.
  57. Uh, we cannot eliminate the human elements in all of
  58. this. All right?
  59. Machines cannot think.
  60. All right, only humans can do that.
  61. All right, so now let's look at the different types
  62. of computers.
  63. So for the purpose of this lesson, we are going
  64. to be focusing on microcomputers.
  65. Alright. Thes are your small personal computers.
  66. That's what microcomputers are.
  67. All right, So some examples of the micro computers that
  68. were going to look at later on, um will be
  69. things like your laptop, your smart watches, your smart TVs,
  70. smartphones and your tablets and, of course, your desktop computers.
  71. So these are your microcomputers or personal computers?
  72. These are what we will be looking at as we
  73. move on.
  74. Okay. So quick.
  75. Uh, check up for let's do a quick review.
  76. What are some key things that on key points that
  77. I want you to remember one that the computer is
  78. an electronic machine?
  79. Alright. It processes information.
  80. Alright. Humans use computers for several reasons.
  81. Alright, namely communication.
  82. All right, so when you think of computers, televisions, phones,
  83. emails through social media sites, that kind of thing.
  84. It's all all communication.
  85. Alright on then, Of course, we use it to research
  86. to research on the Web, whether when you're completing your
  87. homework assignments and your school projects.
  88. Education purpose.
  89. All right, Good.
  90. Now, when you think about mathematical calculations and formulas, when
  91. we think about gathering and analyzing data on, we put
  92. that information into the computer.
  93. This is the calculation of data that aspect up off
  94. while we use computers.
  95. And then, of course, we use computers for storage as
  96. a means of storing large bits of information.
  97. Okay for later use.
  98. Think about companies or organizations, businesses that collect data.
  99. So imagine your schools, colleges, universities when we think about,
  100. um, automobile companies and when we think about shoe stores,
  101. all right, your department stores, they have toe collect data
  102. on their, uh, their products, all right, on their inventory
  103. on hospitals have to collect data and gather keep data
  104. on patients.
  105. So storage, they have to do this thes things on
  106. machines. All right.
  107. Doing them on on paper tedious on, um, when it's
  108. time to retrieve that information again.
  109. Tedious. Alright, So people, everyone, we're moving now towards storing
  110. data on, uh, keeping data on the computer.
  111. All right, digital, everything is going digital.
  112. Uh, alright.
  113. So having computers in our lives, then is indeed very
  114. beneficial for us as human beings.
  115. Because again we said it makes our work easier.
  116. Alright. So again, the advantages and benefits it's fast.
  117. It's accurate.
  118. All right.
  119. We don't have to worry about mistakes.
  120. Alright, If a computer makes a mistake, it's because of
  121. a human error.
  122. Alright, because again the computer can only work on process.
  123. The information that's it's given.
  124. So if it's given the wrong information, it will process
  125. wrong information.
  126. So computers do not make mistakes.
  127. They're very accurate.
  128. And of course, there's a great capacity to store information.
  129. Great storage on.
  130. They don't get tired like they have already or energizing
  131. Funny. It will keep going and going and going all
  132. right doesn't get tired.
  133. So computers as long as computers air around, we will
  134. buy them.
  135. We will use them because they make our life more
  136. comfortable. They make just life easier for us.
  137. And of course, they make it more fun.
  138. Right? But remember, computers can not think okay, they cannot
  139. think all right.
  140. We have to give them the information so that they
  141. can process it.
  142. But they cannot think so.
  143. That's all for now.
  144. Boys and girls.
  145. I will see you in our next computer lesson.
