00:01 - 00:01
Hey everyone.
00:02 - 00:04
So I'm going to talk to you about plan each
00:05 - 00:05
day the night before.
00:06 - 00:07
I'm sure all of you have heard of this strategy,
00:08 - 00:09
Some of you maybe even do it.
00:09 - 00:12
Um, I do try to do it when there's, I
00:12 - 00:14
know there's gonna be a really busy and hectic day.
00:14 - 00:16
The next, the next day I will write down before
00:17 - 00:19
I leave the office or turn my computer off in
00:19 - 00:21
my calendar in the notes section.
00:21 - 00:23
I'll write out a couple of things that I need
00:23 - 00:24
to make sure and get done.
00:25 - 00:27
But the problem is that sound as efficient as it
00:27 - 00:28
possibly could be.
00:28 - 00:32
So I was thinking about during this project and what,
00:33 - 00:35
what could we do to make this process better?
00:35 - 00:38
And I remembered back about 10 years ago when my
00:38 - 00:42
oldest kids were really, really young and my husband and
00:42 - 00:43
I were working out of the home.
00:44 - 00:47
We had to come up with a way to not
00:47 - 00:48
forget certain things to do.
00:48 - 00:51
We weren't home a lot and you know daily house
00:51 - 00:53
things had to be done.
00:53 - 00:56
So what I did was print out every day to
00:56 - 00:58
do checklist and it hung on the wall.
00:59 - 01:00
So to make the printing easier.
01:01 - 01:02
There were certain things that always had to be done
01:03 - 01:05
and then certain days we could write on the night
01:05 - 01:08
before and if there was a dentist appointment or maybe
01:08 - 01:09
swimming lessons or something extra.
01:10 - 01:13
But that way, whoever was home knew exactly what needed
01:13 - 01:15
to be done that day so that whoever was able
01:16 - 01:17
to do it could go ahead and do it and
01:17 - 01:18
get it done.
01:19 - 01:24
So here it is an example of a daily to
01:24 - 01:27
do list on that I made for Amran and I
01:27 - 01:28
am going to start using this every day in printing
01:29 - 01:31
it out on the inside.
01:32 - 01:35
There's just a few things cleanup inbox and just some
01:35 - 01:37
things that are already on there.
01:37 - 01:38
So that prints to always be there.
01:38 - 01:41
Make a certain amount of calls, Make a certain amount
01:41 - 01:41
of emails.
01:41 - 01:43
I know that we all have a goal of how
01:43 - 01:45
many emails and phone calls we want to make a
01:45 - 01:46
day. Sometimes we get sidetracked.
01:47 - 01:50
So I think having this on a daily list will
01:50 - 01:51
really help in that process.
01:54 - 01:58
So the big thing about this, why I think this
01:58 - 02:02
is important is if you've heard of micro winds, So
02:02 - 02:04
we all have these big goals.
02:04 - 02:06
We all have, we want to sell a property management
02:07 - 02:10
company that's 5000 units or we want to do, you
02:10 - 02:13
know, whatever the case may be or build revenue to
02:13 - 02:15
this or add on these many units.
02:15 - 02:18
But those are big long term winds and to be
02:18 - 02:22
honest, there big winds that are relatively rare.
02:23 - 02:26
So micro winds are something that we can do on
02:26 - 02:30
a daily basis when we write those down on that
02:30 - 02:31
list and that to do list, we need to celebrate
02:32 - 02:34
those or something that makes us feel good and something
02:34 - 02:37
that we can um see that we have accomplished and
02:37 - 02:41
so as far as being motivated that will really help
02:41 - 02:42
us to see, okay I did do that.
02:43 - 02:44
Okay I got my x.
02:44 - 02:46
Amount of phone calls in the day, okay I got
02:47 - 02:50
my emails um today or maybe you have been put
02:50 - 02:53
on their goal of just getting in touch with one
02:53 - 02:55
specific prospect you've always tried to get.
02:57 - 03:00
So I hope that this helped you.
03:01 - 03:06
Mhm. To plan better to um you know get more
03:06 - 03:10
motivated because you see you come into the office every
03:10 - 03:12
morning and know exactly what you're supposed to do today.
03:13 - 03:16
Um Also just help you with being more efficient with
03:16 - 03:17
time as well.
03:18 - 03:21
And I know everybody has heard those who fail to
03:21 - 03:23
plan, plan to fail and I, and we all know
03:24 - 03:24
that is 100 true.
03:25 - 03:28
So maybe this tool will help you as well as
03:28 - 03:29
it should help me.
03:30 - 03:30
Thank you.
