  1. Hey, Bucks.
  2. Happy Thursday, man.
  3. Time is flying.
  4. So it is already, um, mid October ish.
  5. And we've got, like, seven assignments.
  6. Don't already.
  7. Yeah, like seven already.
  8. And those really quick ones on dhe.
  9. Now we're getting into, you know, something that's multistage, bigger
  10. projects. This will go into the projects category in your
  11. grade book.
  12. So that's, you know, that's a 65%.
  13. Right Up to now, it's just been kind of that
  14. 25% generals and sketchbooks thing.
  15. So we wanna make sure we're really kind of putting
  16. our foot on the gas there.
  17. Um, so missing assignments.
  18. I've gotten a couple of emails, people saying like, Hey,
  19. I so many silent messes up my grade, My parents
  20. really wondering.
  21. So here's the thing.
  22. It's a thing with a great book that we just
  23. need to know.
  24. Um, anything that hasn't been entered into the great book
  25. yet he's going to show up is missing.
  26. And that's an asterisk in there when that asked, Risk
  27. is in there.
  28. Um, that means it is not doing any good for
  29. your grade, but it's also not affecting your grade in
  30. a bad way.
  31. It's just not a factor, right?
  32. It's just a place holder in there.
  33. That Astra is good, but it shows up for you
  34. as missing.
  35. I don't know why it does that I've tried toe
  36. kind of fix it in skyward because I know missing
  37. is a bad word when it comes to your your
  38. great books.
  39. So when your parents see that, they're like, What's going
  40. on? You're not doing your work.
  41. Show them this video.
  42. Let them know it's all OK.
  43. Unless you see, unless you see a kn actual grade
  44. in there like a 0 190 85.
  45. Something like that.
  46. Um then there is no grade in there yet, so
  47. and it's not affecting you poorly.
  48. Okay, I do have ah, class or two right now
  49. something goofy and skyward where people that have, you know,
  50. 567 and, you know, nineties and hundreds are still showing
  51. up his efs eso.
  52. I'm working on that and I'll get that fixed.
  53. Hopefully today.
  54. Um so never fear.
  55. So what is due tomorrow?
  56. We started our mandala project.
  57. And so tomorrow we've just got way.
  58. Just got the 11 quadrant of that one quadrant, please.
  59. So, Sean Connery deal there.
  60. Um, so just one section of that.
  61. If you do more than that, you're probably gonna have
  62. to go back and redo things.
  63. So don't make more work for yourself.
  64. Follow directions.
  65. Just get that one quadrant done, and you're going to
  66. be good to go.
  67. And we'll look at all that tomorrow and give you
  68. advice for where to go from there.
  69. Things Thio think about.
  70. If we look at the lower right hand corner of
  71. this example piece here, um, give yourself guidelines.
  72. I draw that first line, that corner to corner line
  73. of the quadrant and then another one from the center
  74. all the way out that bisects that.
  75. So I measure how long that corner to corner line
  76. is and then cut that in half and draw right
  77. out from the center out through that halfway point.
  78. And that gives me some guidelines for how toe put
  79. my shapes my geometric in my organic shapes in there.
  80. That's gonna be a help for repeating that design later
  81. on down the road and then on the upper left
  82. hand corner, you see a example of a quadrant that
  83. is not nearly intricate enough.
  84. So you want to fill up all that space.
  85. All that empty spaces that's in there.
  86. You want to make sure that that space is as
  87. full as possible.
  88. So if we look at this example here, we're getting
  89. there, right.
  90. But there's something that's missing.
  91. This is getting intricacy wise.
  92. It seems pretty good.
  93. Um, e could still fill in a lot of space,
  94. especially up there near the top and all those kind
  95. of stripes near the top meeting the space out towards
  96. the edge of the circle.
  97. So but what I'm gonna it's what I have to
  98. fill it with.
  99. That is the point that I'm trying to make here.
  100. And the problem with this is that we've got mostly
  101. organic shapes.
  102. We've got those clouds.
  103. We've got that kind of Florida Lee looking big symbol
  104. in the center top there.
  105. We've got the pedals of the lotus flower in the
  106. more towards the center.
  107. But everything is kind of organic shapes.
  108. So we're going to need some more, um, geometric shapes
  109. in there.
  110. So triangles and squares stars remember straight lines connected at
  111. angles. Right?
  112. That's what you're geometric shapes are.
  113. So everything on there is kind of organic right now.
  114. So we want toe make that more intricate and get
  115. more geometric shapes in there.
  116. And that's what's going to get it to where it
  117. needs to be.
  118. Uh huh.
  119. AP kids, you know, don't stress out.
  120. But, you know, we've had our weekly sketchbook assignment due
  121. tomorrow, and that's an image that you guys need to
  122. create. Onda.
  123. Also, we're going to take a look a TTE your
  124. journal writing for your sustained investigation ideas that writing is
  125. super important.
  126. So make sure you're keeping up with all that stuff.
  127. I know you've got a lot of stuff to do,
  128. but it's a P.
  129. You know, there are lots of two for a pay,
  130. so I'm sure you all get everything done that you
  131. need to dio.
  132. Okay, so that's where we're after today and we will
  133. see all of you guys tomorrow.
