Hi, friends.
This is Miss Campbell.
With all about technique.
Today we're taking a look at a more advanced version
of opening sequence B.
I wanted to give you this video for those of
you who would really like to get good at your
arm balances those air poses like crow and bug.
When we do those poses, there's two things we really
need to be strong your arms as well as your
abdominal muscles.
This pose works both of those things, Um, and by
adding this pose into your opening sequence, that means you'll
be strengthening those two muscles every single time you practice
your yoga.
So I think most of us do this.
Top one here, um, our cricket pose, where we have
our belly all the way on the ground, the Tufts
of our feet on the ground, the one we're going
to be adding in today is are hovering cricket.
That's the picture down at the bottom.
You'll notice that she's kind of floating up off the
ground. It's like she's holding a push up.
You'll notice it's not a wide arm push up like
this. It's actually arms tucked in.
It makes it more of a tricep push up, which
is the muscle that we need for these poses.
So when you get into the post, if you could
see from down are just from the side here my
elbows are gonna be tucked in, not splayed out elbows
tucked in.
Okay. You'll also want to pull your hips towards your
ribs to engage your abdominal muscles.
So it's not like my back is super straight as
much It's It's a little tucked, though It will be
hard to see you when I show you.
Um so this is the part of opening sequence Be
we're gonna change the cricket part Let me show you.
So first I'll show you we pregnant that most of
us do which is right here.
Tell us in the feeder down elbows her up that
is down bellies down the type of cricket that we're
gonna try today we start from a plate lead slash
before work My hips are pulled in to touch my
belly and then you lower down.
This is hovering picking.
So instead of going all the way down your belly,
we're just gonna help the other thing that you can
try. It's from your hover.
You could also lift up 1 ft or yeah, I'll
show you how we work that in just a second.
So let's try this inside of opening sequence B.
We start with Mountain Intel chair, Exhale Sunset and help
you exhale.
Hands come down.
And this is what we're gonna go into that covering
cricket. Oh, God.
Standoff. Next, we're gonna step into Warrior one from here.
Watch this leg.
I'll show you how you can incorporate lifting the one
way handsome down.
Let me state up even as you start to bend
your elbows.
Then that comes down, up, Doc, Down the other side,
Warrior Hands down.
Watch that foot stays that even as they come down.
Er, done down.
Looking forward step or huh?
You know, So I'm set chair and not all right
friends. So that's what a slightly more advanced version of
opening sequence B looks like.
It should be tiring.
It should be really hard to hold your push up
in this hovering cricket.
And that's good things.
That means that you're building your muscles.
You'll also notice that as you do this, you're going
to feel your strength billed as part of why I
wanted to give you this video so soon so that
you can start using this as a way to build
up your strength so that when we get to those
arm balances, you'll be ready to go and have more
strength to work with when you're trying to figure out
