The Hebrews

The Jews & The Joes presented by angela marie baxley The Patriarch of the Family God promised Abraham a seed,
and that his descendants would become like the sand of the sea and the stars of the sky. Sarah worried that she was barren even though God promised.
She gave Hagar to Abraham and Ishmael was born.
But God meant what he said, so the promise did not go to the first born Ishmael. Isaac is born to Abraham and Sarah.
His carries the promise of the seed. means laughter. Abraham laughed asking, “Will a man a hundred years old have a child born, and will Sarah, yes, will a woman ninety years old give birth?” Genesis 17:17 means a father of a multitude of nations. Jacob wasn't the first born either - we are reminded it's a promise... God gives it to whoever He wants. He was renamed Israel, meaning "perseveres with God". Joseph is the youngest of Jacob's twelve sons...
He's his father's favorite & carries the promise. Rachel was the one Jacob loved. The Promised seed came through her barren womb. Rachel ISRAEL Leah “Judah, your brothers will praise you;
your hand will be on the neck of your enemies;
your father’s sons will bow down to you.

You are a lion’s cub, O Judah;
you return from the prey, my son.
Like a lion he crouches and lies down,
like a lioness—who dares to rouse him?

The scepter will not depart from Judah,
nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet,
until he comes to whom it belongs
and the obedience of the nations is his.

He will tether his donkey to a vine,
his colt to the choicest branch;
he will wash his garments in wine,
his robes in the blood of grapes.

His eyes will be darker than wine,
his teeth whiter than milk.

— Genesis 49:10 “Reuben, you are my firstborn,
my might, the first sign of my strength,
excelling in honor, excelling in power.

Turbulent as the waters, you will no longer excel,
for you went up onto your father’s bed,
onto my couch and defiled it. “Zebulun will live by the seashore
and become a haven for ships;
his border will extend toward Sidon. “Issachar is a rawbonede donkey
lying down between two saddlebags.

When he sees how good is his resting place
and how pleasant is his land,
he will bend his shoulder to the burden
and submit to forced labor. “As for Asher, his food shall be rich,
And he will yield royal dainties. “Naphtali is a doe let loose,
He gives beautiful words. “Joseph is a fruitful bough,
A fruitful bough by a spring;
Its branches run over a wall.

“The archers bitterly attacked him,
And shot at him and harassed him;

But his bow remained firm,
And his arms were agile,
From the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob
(From there is the Shepherd, the Stone of Israel),

From the God of your father who helps you,
And by the Almighty who blesses you
With blessings of heaven above,
Blessings of the deep that lies beneath,
Blessings of the breasts and of the womb.

“The blessings of your father
Have surpassed the blessings of my ancestors
Up to the utmost bound of the everlasting hills;
May they be on the head of Joseph,
And on the crown of the head
of the one distinguished among his brothers. “Benjamin is a ravenous wolf;
In the morning he devours the prey,
And in the evening he divides the spoil.” “Dan shall judge his people,
As one of the tribes of Israel.

“Dan shall be a serpent in the way,
A horned snake in the path,
That bites the horse’s heels,
So that his rider falls backward.
“For Your salvation I wait, O Yehowah. “Simeon and Levi are brothers;
Their swords are implements of violence.

“Let my soul not enter into their council;
Let not my glory be united with their assembly;
Because in their anger they slew men,
And in their self-will they lamed oxen.

“Cursed be their anger, for it is fierce;
And their wrath, for it is cruel.
I will disperse them in Jacob,
And scatter them in Israel. “Simeon and Levi are brothers;

But he will raid at their heels. 10 Tribes of Northern Kingdom - "Israel" the "Joes" - The House of Joseph the "Jews" descend from Judah
