Give A Boy A Gun
Brendan Lawlor is the main character, he is a tenth grade boy who attends Middleton High School.

These are some of Brendan's traits.
Main character
Gary Searle is a minor character in this story.Gary is

The book takes place in a small town called
Middleton in the 90's

If the book took place somewhere else it would be completely different. If the story took place at Brendan's old school none of the tragic things would have happened.
Settings Importance
Brendan and Gary were bullied very badly that it lead to awful things.
The conflict begins when Brendan moves to a new school.
Brendan Lawlor moves to a new town called Middleton

Brendan begins to get made fun of at his new school.

Brendan and Gary start to become very good friends.

Sam Flatch hurts Brendan while they are playing football in gym class.

I enjoyed this reading this book. I thought that it was written very well and was interesting and cool. The story was amazing, it was terribly sad and depressing which made it more intriguing
Critical Analysis
Dear Mom, By the time you read this I'll be gone. I just want you to know that there was nothing you could have done to stop this. I know you always tried your best for me, and if anyone doubts you, just show them this letter. I don't know if I can really explain why I did this. I guess its because I know that I'll never be happy. I know that everyday of my life will hurt and be a lot more bad than good. It's entirely a matter of, what's the point in living?

both of the boys have been harrased and tessed by the jocks at school who rule the school of middleton high
they are both tired of being picked on
they both plan to hold all the students at the scjool dance hostage
