It usually occurs in children and young adults
Bacteria are normally found in your mouth. These bacteria change sugar and starch into acids.
Bacteria, acid, food pieces, and saliva combine in the mouth to form a sticky substance called plaque. Plaque sticks to the teeth.

Nutritional Therapy of periodonitis
1.
Antioxidant nutrients like (Vit. C) ,beta-carotene and (Vit. E)
and found in many fruits, vegetables
2. PUFA found in fish oil,It was found that
n-3 fatty acid intake,
particularly docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), are inversely associated with periodontitis

Coenzyme Q 10
4. Avoid refined sugars
5. Eat plenty of fibers

Thorough chew food as raw carrots that stimulate your gums
7. Change your brush 2 times each month

Carbohydrates increase the risk of tooth decay.
