Transcript of Different types of Barbies

Since 1959, "Barbie's careers" have amassed to be a total of 150+.

Something which we found to be particularly interesting, is how long ago the last Barbie doll - who had an intellectual career in medicine, as opposed to being a princess, was released.
She was a doctor in 1988 and a nurse in 1961, but since the 1990's up until today, there are still princess versions of her being released.

"she went to the moon... four years before Neil Armstrong"
"... in the 90's, she ran for president, before any female candidate even made it into t presidential ballot."
"Coloured Francie" was created in 1967, and is only
sometimes
described as being the first African American Barbie doll. She was produced using the existing head molds for the white version of the "Francie doll", making her lack the characteristics of an African American person, apart from their dark skin.
"Oreo fun Barbie" was also created to celebrate "America's favorite cookies". There was a black and white version made, although the black version received a lot of backlash. This is because critics had claimed how in African American communities,
Oreo
is a derogatory term being that the person is black on the outside, and white on the inside.
