Transcript of Marilyn Monroe
Her parents divorced before she was born.
Her mother was mentally and financially unstable, so Monroe was placed in a foster home.
She lived with in many different places until she got married to a neighbor's son.
While Monroe was sent to live with her great-aunt, Olive Brunings, in Compton, California, one of Olive's sons had attacked the now middle-school-aged girl, biographers and psychologists have questioned whether some of her later behavior (i.e., hypersexuality, sleep disturbances, substance abuse, disturbed interpersonal relationships), was caused by this incident.
During the filming of Some like it hot, Marilyn found out she was pregnant but she ended up with her second miscarrige.
After Monroe appeared in Let's Make Love, her health began to deteriorate.
She frequently complained of insomnia, and she visited several medical doctors to obtain what Greenson considered an excessive variety of drugs.
