Benjamin Franklin was a genius of many things, but he made the discovery that changed the world. Benjamin Franklin was born January 17, 1706 in Boston, Massachusetts Ben had the jobs of printing , publishing, and scientist Franklin then made his most important contribution of all, the discovery of electricity
in June of, 1752 He worked until he made light that could be turned off and on. He died at the age of 84. Yet his genius lives on throughout history and has improved the lives of people. After Franklin worked with electricity, he became interested in politics. He spent some time in England, working for the colonies. He later became a Patriot and helped draft the Constitution. Franklin bought his own newspaper, "Pennsylvania Gazette" In 1733, Benjamin Franklin began publishing "Poor Richard's Almanac". Philadelphia's Union Fire Company was formed by Franklin in 1736. Without Benjamin Franklin's great discovery, we wouldn't be using the tools of technology that we use today. Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise.
