Disney took many opportunities to practice and do what he loved, which made him gain many hours of practiced. He took small newspaper jobs, sketched at school, attend art school and opened his own business where he sketched and drew all the time. If you add all his opportunities up, Walt Disney had more than 10 000 hours of practice.
"Practice isn't the thing you do once you're good. It's the thing you do that makes you good" (Gladwell 42). Walt Disney created his own opportunities to do what he loved which gave him more than 10 000 hours of practice and is why Walt Disney is one of the greatest outliers and man that has ever lived.
Gladwell mentions that success is dependent on their opportunities they get (Gladwell 55), and how they use or what they do with that opportunity they are given (Gladwell 67).
