What is Realism?
Realism
: a style of painting and sculpting developed about the mid-19th century in which figures and scenes are depicted as they are experiences or might be experiences in everyday life.
Brief History
~Starts in second half of 19th Century,mainly from 1830-1870
~Seeks to express a perceivable, negating all romanticsim and subjectivism or any other element which may distort something as it really exists.
~Most realsim arts use acrylic or oil paint.
